What does legit mean to you?

I write for a few websites and I have read that some individuals will say that a site is not legit. Yet they are being paid for their services but it is not what they expected. I feel to be legit that anyone that makes a promise to pay something and does it, it is not a scam, even if it is not what I expected.

legit simply means the site, or the company is real. if we're talking about paying sites, then those who pay are legit. but hey, even some scam sites actually pay, in the first few weeks or month only though.. so technically, even if they pay, their intention is to simply drag the paying people and run off when they've collected enough.

This is so true! I have seen this to happen to reel us in and get money and run with it. I actually seen a comment the other day on here about someone with a website running off. Now rather it had anything to with money I am not sure but it is rather interesting to see someone looking for such individuals.

Expert Column is a site I am currently with. I use it for writing and If I am not mistaken I have earned about 30 dollars, at the moment I get anywhere from 5-10 a month which is not much, but it depends on my articles and my activity on the site which is not too bad.

That is all I do as well, and sometimes I get a referrals. I have noticed though that if I try and steadily put articles up and helps my views better than waiting too long and posting several at a time.

Legit to me means any site that pays the amount it promises to when reaching payout level.I have earned from legit sites and also lost money in scam sites.Earning online means everyone has to face scams at some point of their lives. It is all part and parcel of earning online. But there are legit paying sites too.

This is true! I just find alot of sites to be different even though they may all fall under the same category and some may not be what someone is looking for. This does not mean it is not legit. Thanks for this.

I think the same way you do. To me, something is legit when someone comes through with what they said they would do for you. A site is legit when it pays you in a somewhat timely manner for participating on their site. It's not legit if the site says you'll earn, and you see your earnings rise, but then the site doesn't pay.
I don't know why people would say something isn't legit when they're getting paid for what they do..that just doesn't make sense to me. We're on earning sites for fun and to earn a few extra bucks, not to be our only source of income.

You got that right. I actually just enjoy writing and I have been in school for two years now. College I mean. Well I couldn't help but think it was a shame to not be able to use my assignments that I worked so hard to finish. Also I have special online tools from my school for grammar checks whic is always nice. So recently I found a few sites that earn some income not much, just pocket change. But I do like being able to share useful information that I obtained from my school which is more legit than some other sources.

I think people usually misuse the word especially when they say "it is not legit". It should only be applied to website that go against what is found in their policy. The problem with most people is that, they do not take time to read the policies and end up blaming the site while indeed, they could be the problem.

agree with mashnn. many people not get paid because they against the policies on that website.

You got that right! I am one that sometimes does not read all of the policies unless, I have certain questions. I do like to read these things though to see what is in store for me though. Thanks for this.
