Cleaning my silver jewelries

I was idling after I finished my writing job. My mind went blank, refuse to do anything with words, yet my fingers itchy to do something... usually I will get my crochet project--a blanket which haven't finished it yet after 2 years... LOL... but I don't know where all my threads are! Then I saw my silver bangs, pendant, earrings, anklet and so on lost their shine. Oh I need to wear my silvers for Lunar New Year as part of my personal ritual. Well, I kinda lost in my idleness and then started to clean my silvers with toothpaste. it took me hours to clean all of them and made them shiny again. Toothpaste is good for cleaning silver, but perhaps you have other idea?

Another way to clean your silver jewlery and make it clean would be to get windix and put it in a microwave safe bowl and then microwave that for about a minute. Put your jewlery in it after you take it out from microwave then take the jewlery out of the bowl after you let it sit for about a minute then put it on rag and clean with rag and toothbrush. It will mike it shiny and glitter. Just another cheap way of cleaning your jewlery.

dear lologirl, Thanks for the tip :D but...windix? what windix is? if I don't have any microwave --- as energy save concern, can the regular oven do the trick?

I think she means Windex, it is a well known household cleaner in the USA, not sure if they make it in your country. As far as the oven, I'm not so sure it will work the same, it could have some dangerous effects, so please do not try it in your oven.
