Hi. when we get desired response from myloters for our discussion, we will give best response to them for their quality response and for their better information regarding our topic. We can get unique thought from various myloters. Sometimes i am confused about for whom i would give best response in mylot discussion, when i would like more than one response from myloter. What do you do for that? I think it is better to have more best response option in mylot.

Yes this is a common problem for me too especially if I get a flurry of great responses .However what I do is gauge the best response that I have at the time and try and assess if I think more will come and just give it .If another response comes in thats good too ,I just comments and leave it at that

sivaeinfo for me I just look at them all then choose the one that seems to stand out, hit best response. it is not brain surgery and nobody makes any money with this so its just a nice pat on the back and should not take over five minutes to do. do not make a big deal out of something that is not money making.

That is true. It is very difficult to rule out whose response is the best in a certain discussion where everyone has his/her different opinion. Of course, not marking the best response is okay too but it just doesn't seem right. So far, I mark the best response to the mylot user that really gives quality content in a way that opens my eyes to more information/situations. But if there are more of them, I take out what I deem to be the most informative or striking that I cannot forget the lesson I learned...

I perfectly understand how you feel, sivaeinfo. It is really difficult to choose if the choices are all great. Because you're the only one who needs to decide for this, you may set your own rules. I mean, you can narrow down the comments into three for example. Among the three, you need to choose based on your criteria. Analyze your question and the details that you have provided. Then, recheck all the comments. I am sure some of them forgot to mention some important details that you wanted to hear. I am sure some of them have provided more information than the others. Well, it's up to you to decide. One more thing, why not give consideration to new members? If you think that the new member also has great answer, why not choose it? This is also to encourage new members to be more active here in myLot. That way, we can encourage more members and myLot will become more famous. Well, I'm not saying to always give them priority. Give them chances and hope so that they'll not regret their stay here.

It's really hard to choose which to give the best response but don't worry much about it. Whichever is the one that caught your attention or one that gave you the most interesting one and helped you out with your topic can be awarded the response. I am not sure anyone who had given their quality and intelligent response will not mind at all why they weren't selected as the best one. There is no additional money in that so it's okay. myLot actually encourage us to give a best response after a week but does not require us to do it - sometimes it takes me months (3-4) to give one.

If we have more than one "Best Response" in myLot, we then will lose forever the "Best Response" because it will be no longer be called "Best Response" but "Good Responses". "Good Responses" option is already in place here: the "+" sign (rate this discussion positive)on your right side of the discussion. If it is a good response, it is a positive for the discussion. We should use the "+" to rate all the good responses and the "-" to indicate a negative response. Try always to select a "Best Response" although it may not be easy at times. It is the obligation of the discussion starter to select one. It may not relate to monetary rewards, but it will help to improve the quality of our discussions by giving recognition to the best response. I feel that is what myLot has in mind in having that option.
