Has anyone tried the bid sites?

I am not talking about ebay. I am talking about the sites where you buy bids and then bid on a variety of items. I think one is called bidz.com. And like any auction, the winning bid gets the prize or item. I think that they are suspicious and that most people lose their money. All the reviews that I have read about them from consumers are bad. I was wondering if any mylotters have tried any of these sites or know anyone who has.

I started doing the bid sites about a month ago and LOVE it! You have to be smart with your bids otherwise you will lose money, but I watch an item and try to use good judgement on what I bid on and how many bids to spend. In the last 4 weeks I've won about 30 things - a starbucks gift card, additional bid packs, video games, a diamond ring, a purse, some toys...all sorts of stuff! There are 'professional bidders' out there that make super good money. I'm not one of them, but I have made several hundred dollars. If you want to try it out, I can do a referal for you and get you some free bids to try it out. Just PM me if you're interested.

I am interested but I am getting ready to go on a cruise and do not have much time right now. You are welcome to send me more information but I do not have time to sign up until March.

This is something that I've never tried because of the fact that from a lot of the things that I've heard, these kind of bid sites are a lot like gambling. In other words, in a lot of places in this country, in the eyes of the law, they are viewed as an illegal game of chance. I think that if there was a way that they could be made totally legal they could be a really good thing, but I don't know if that can happen.

No, I am not patient with those kinds of sites, and like you, I find them suspicious. I know a lot of people who do Listia, but I do not do that either. It is all done with credits.

They sound too good to be true. And you know that when something sounds too good to be true, it probably is a scam. I have read reviews from many unhappy consumers who used these sites and lost a lot of money.
