Did you get anything for Christmas from your bosses?

I'm just curious. I realize I'm a little late on this discussion but I thought I would start it anyway. I was really disappointed this year with my company because we didn't get ANYTHING - only people at 'manager' level got something (AKA about ~30 out of 500 people with this company). Out of the ~5 years I've been here, I've received a box of chocolates, driving gloves, a calender, a planner, and something else I can't remember. This year we got nothing. I know I should be happy I still have a job and all, but I was a little disappointed. How about you?

I actually got something from my boss. I work for a small company, and my boss is the owner. I did get an envelope with a card and some money. My only problem is, I don't think it was commensurate to the position I hold in the company. A good friend of mine who works on the floor and told me about what he got last year. And it was just the same as what I got this past Christmas. I know I should be greatful, but...

Maezee, when i was still working before, i managed to get a few boxes of chocolates and cookies from my ex-boss. They tastes very delicious and special since my boss bought those gifts from overseas countries. My boss ever gave me a planner for one particular year and ask everyone of us to plan well our schedule. But, i think you should be grateful that you managed to still have a job to survive during this economic inflation period. There are still many people out there who until now still jobless and still searching for a job.

Because of the economic crisis, many companies have to reduce on their expenses. Workers will certainly be disappointed but they also have to understand the plight of the companies they are working for. When I was still working, the company gives a bag full of groceries for all, from the managers to the workers. My boss used to give me small items for Christmas like a necklace, a purse and a binder. Since, I am no longer connected with a company, I never expected for a Christmas gift; however, my partner received his free groceries so we had something for Christmas.

I was so thrilled when we were given Christmas hams during our Christmas party at work. You see, I had been so broke during the holidays that I could only stare at the ones displayed in the grocery and kill myself with envy. But then suddenly, like a gift from heaven, it came. Of course my Father managed to buy food for Christmas dinner through credit but the ham was a very welcome addition to the table.

Out of every year I work at the company I work for now, I got nothing at all. Except the invitation to the Christmas party. Other than that, we got nothing, and nothing. So, you were lucky, and I can't complain too much either. I do the best I can, and earn my decent wage.

bosses we got are gready and discreminate between people, I feel sorry for these, they are sensless, anyway presents from the people you like is the important present, and not from bosses, who only come to work just to make you feel that she is boss
