Take a deep breath. Being on the witness stand is scary, but it's not life ending. At least you're not the defendant. First and foremost, talk to the attorney who called you (if you aren't being subpoenaed). Ask him/her what you should wear, etc. Don't ask them what to say, but you can ask them what they're going to ask and what the other side is going to ask. If you can, get this in writing, that way you can prepare ahead of time. Don't worry about memorizing and don't let anyone cloud your judgment about what to say. As a witness you are the only one that matters. Above all of this, tell the truth. Nobody wants a perjury charge. Another piece of advice, listen to the questions asked. Answer only what is asked. Don't offer additional information. Just be honest and you should be okay. It's scary, but you'll do fine.

I hope it went well for you. The pressure is on when you're on the stand and it's increased when you're there for the benefit of someone else. Still, at the end of the day, it's about you and your testimony. Everything else fades away. I really hope your experience was a good one. If not, I'm sincerely sorry. Sometimes the system doesn't work as it should. Again, I hope things went well for you.

Wow, I haven't experienced that yet. I wish you good luck and not to be nervous about it. I guess I'm not much of a help with this but the best preparation that you can do is to relax and focus on the task at hand.

Testifying in court is not as dramatic as those we see in the movies and television. It is nowhere like it since testifying in a true court is simple and easy. Just answer the question being asked without any need to elaborate or explain. Tell the truth and nothing more. Sometimes, they just ask a few questions based on your own sworn affidavit so be sure to remember the contents before you appear in court. If you have no copy of the affidavit, ask the attorney for one. Your statements must always conform with the contents of the affidavit.
