It's almost Chinese New Year. May this year be a fruitful and healthy one for my family and friends. May the people who were victims of calamities be able to recover from the tragedies. May people learn to forgive one another for the sake of peace in our world. May this year be filled with love and peace so we could have a harmonious place to live in. And may not forget to pray and lift our hearts to the Lord, thanking Him for all the wonderful blessing He has given to us and let us not also forget to ask for repentance for our sins. Sometimes, we are to preoccupied on our daily activities that we forget to take a minute and have a conversation with God. Last but not the least, may this year bring all of us more closer to God.

Although, i am not a full bloodied Chinese, i do have some 1/8 Chinese blood in me. That being so, doesn't mean that i also celebrate Chinese New year. No, i don't and my family don't, but we enjoy seeing on TV the various Chinese activities.
Because there are lots of Chinese families in the Philippines, we respect their celebration . We also receive Tikoys from our Chinese friends and cook them on the said day. I
But as to believe in all those charms and beliefs, we don't, but respect them also.

I admire your honesty. Well, I am not Chinese myself nor have a Chinese blood. But I like to celebrate it like any other celebrated occasions. Celebrating it doesn't mean I have to have a party or like with Christmas having Noche Buena but my way of celebrating is giving or sharing my thoughts on this day and merely greeting people Kung Hei Fat Choi. I do also respect their beliefs, culture and traditions. Thank you for sharing your opinion/comments. Again, Kung Hei Fat Choi! May you have a good year this year.
