Our baby Amber

Last December 2011, my girlfriend came back from Cagayan de Oro City and brought our puppy named Amber. She is a pit bull and three months old now. At first, I was so hesitant with her since I am not really hands on with dogs/puppies. But I always wanted to have one. She lives with my girlfriend and I just come to their house 3-4 times a week. Now, that I am getting used to being around her, I get to miss her more every time I don't see her. She's just so sweet and smart. She's wild at times when she knows that she'll be left alone in the house and when we come back everything is a mess already. There was one time I slept over my girlfriends house, the next morning, she tries to wake me up but my girlfriend's mom scolded Amber so she went outside the room. Then minutes later, she came back to the room trying to wake me up again and so I tried to get up and she was kissing me all over. She went outside immediately and I told Amber that I'll follow her since I still have to fix the bed. Then again, she came back a minute later and jumping around me. She was trying to tell me something so I followed her outside. Then I found out that she wants me to look down the balcony because my girlfriend was cleaning my car early in the morning. I was so amazed with her. I can't believe that she actually made a conversation with me through the signals she showed. My girlfriend's mom and I, praised Amber.

I didn't know that a pug could be as smart as that, my friend. I am amazed at you pug, AMber. Actually, at home we have a tzi tsu(did i spell it right) and a pug. My gay brother-in-law who only comes home on weekends brought them. But , unfortunately we don't like them inside the house . They have their own dog houses at the back of the house, whereas our askals are by the garage. Hence, i got to see the pug only when i go to the backyard . We noticed that the tzi tsu seems smarter than the pug. But i like the pug more because he is so cute with his short , fat and wrinkled skin! He scoots on the ground whenever i am around. But we cannot say that he is smart .

I'm so sorry but Amber is not a pug. She is a pit bull. A different breed of dog. She is really big for a three month old puppy and she will be even more bigger when she turns a year. On the other hand, pugs are small-lower medium breed of dogs. They are wrinkly, short-muzzled face, and curled tail. Actually, pugs are nice. They may have a grumpy look on the face but they are actually a happy breed. As far as I know pugs need much attention from the owner. A friend of mine owns this kind of breed and she said her pug is intelligent. I have also read some articles about them and it also says the same. Because they are so smart, they can easily be trained. Maybe you just haven't figure out her intelligence since your pug is just put in the cage. Try to be with them and play with them. They really like that. And they are known to be companion dogs. And by the way, it is spelled as Shih Tzu. They are also lovely dogs. They are playful and would want to be your bestfriend. If you like or love dogs, I suggest you take time to interact with them. I used to have a bad experienced with a dog but now that Amber came into my life, it changed a lot. Although, I am still afraid of dogs especially stray dogs with Amber around, I don't need to worry or feel afraid anymore. I love her so much. We all love her. By the way, thank you for sharing your thoughts.

Actually, the pug is being called bulldog by my in-laws, whenever they call him for feeding. That's because the first time it was brought to the house, they thought she's a bulldog. But i corrected them that it's a pug. But the "bulldog" stuck with them! But i called him chubby and sometimes my father-in-law follows, but my mother-in-law would always call her bulldog. We are not fond of dogs. So we want them out of the house.

I see. Too bad you don't like dogs. Maybe you should just give them to someone who loves dogs. In that way, they will be well taken cared of and at the same time you won't be bothered anymore. What pet animals do you like then?

Wow, that is one nice dog. I am amazed at what your pit bull did. It has shown you something unique about itself and so please do take good care of that dog for me although I know you already would ;) As an animal lover, I am most fond of dogs as they have intelligence that human can be proud of. My neighbour has a Shih Tzu who considers me as a playmate. Our bond began when he was still a puppy. Gnawing and nibbling was what it loved to do and that was what I enjoyed the most with puppies. Their bites are full of playfulness and are never painful. Though as this puppy grew older, I think I taught it to bite too much because I never reprimanded it when it playfully bites on me as the pain was tolerable. My neighbours who are the owners would complain of its biting habit. There is nothing we can do though I am trying to discipline him on times when I would want to play with him or not. The most cute part about the dog is that whenever I visit them, he goes haywire as if knowing that his playmate had arrived.

That's really great. Why don't you get one for real? I mean, for yourself? Dogs can be so adorable. The bond between dogs and humans are really amazing ones you have experienced it. I will never trade anything for Amber. She is a heaven sent. And if I'll have enough money, I'll have another one and then another and then another. Amber brought so much joy to me and my girlfriend. It kept our relationship stronger because it's like we have a baby and we take turns taking care of her. We take turns on our responsibility with Amber. And I think Amber understand us since she really has this way of connecting with us. Anyway, thank you for sharing your thoughts. I really appreciate it and I love that you're an animal lover.
