What differecence do you find bitween Hollywood & Bollywood movies

Bollywood was born in 1899 with a short film and Hollywood in 1910. Also Hollywood produces 500 films per year on average and have worldwide audience of more than 2.6billion, whereas Bollywood produces more than 1000 per year and have a worldwide audience of 3 billion.
One thing i like about Hollywood is they produce quality films and also costly films, which makes them better then Bollywood in my point of view.
But there are some Bollywood movies which is definitely a master piece and I believe that can't be done by Hollywood producers.
And if Bollywood basks in the glory of dubious Sharukh Khan has more fans than Tom Cruise reports for too long, it may not be a happy ending after all.
So East or West Bollywood is the Best.

Without going to any debate I want say one thing that bollywood film makers are less attentive to small mistakes. For example you will see a hero of a film who is from a middle class family is wearing a branded jeans and shoes, film is totally based on a particular location but number plate of the cars used shows different state number plate. Execpt this you will see a song suddenly when the film is going through a very serious stage therefore totally ruining the rhythm of the film.
You will not see this kind of bizarre in a hollywood film very frequently.

yeah..HOLLYWOOD ruled the world..
talked about superman ..spider man..every little kids..or grown ups will know what movie is that..but talked about DOn..Kuch kuch hota hai..or whatever bollywood movie outside india..or a non indian people..? obviously ..saying more people watching bollywood is not correct..More people in this planet knows hollywood movie.more than anything..afterall they .AMERICAN invented the movies..and cinemas..THE GREAT TRAIN ROBBERY......

Take a look at the current bollywood blockbusters Dabang, bodyguard, don2. Do you think any of these films are even close to reality? Before going to watch a hollywood super hero movie at least we know that they cant be true but only after going to theatre we know for a bollywood film that is far from reality. There are lot of hollywood films which are inspirational like million dollar baby, 300, pursuit of happiness and the list is so long.
And about learning how to love from hollywood movies, we will never found the hollywood love stories suitable for us as those films are made in totally different social background.
Hollywood makes supernatural flicks and the whole world enjoy it coz though we know it is impossible till they represent the character in such a way that wee forget about logic when watching it. But what about bollywood super hero flick like Ra one? They made it in such a poor way that nobody will believe it even they try to believe it.

Hollywood maybe 1910//but USA..been making films since the very beginning of the motion picture discovery..
and Hollywood..finally chosen as the center of film making..due to sunshining all year..than most parts of the coast..like New york..winter etc..
but BOllywood.doesnt exist..its not a name of a place..just a nickname goven..like Kollywood etc..for Tamil film..
and saying..2.6billion..is not correct..since hollywood..appeals and potentially can be watch by anyone regardless they understand english or not..
but Bollywood..people who genrally dont fancy hindi..or indian living style..will not think any movies from Bollywood will make any sense..and logic..
anyway..Hollywood is far from Bollywood grasp.. India first to have up the movie standard good enough to tackle Korea,Japan,,and long time movie expert..Hong Kong.. to be even nearer to Hollywood film production standard..
in other words..its not quantity..its quality..
just like Movie from the UK..its rare..probably just 12-15 movie per year..Harry Potter..James bond etc..but its all of high high standard..

Dear Sir in term of viewership bollywood overtook hollywood in 2004 and has been leading ever since.
Around 15 million expatriates living in different parts of the worl account for over 65% of bollywood's earnings. An estimated $800 is spent by NRI's in indian movies and music. US ( 2 million Indian expats), UK (1.5 million), South Africa (1 million of Africa'a 2 million Indian population) are major markets for Bollywood.
Hollywood gets lots of support from their respective Government while Bollywood was officially recognized as an industry by the government only in 1998. which made Bollywood to grow slow.

Hey Bro..!!
Dont keep on thinking by yourself to guess which it is best kollywood or bollywood.,,., anything which has a quality films just go enjoy it... fell the movie and travel along with it dont think about other things... And wow,, really appreciatable for those statistics,,, good work... But you can see the difference between bollywood and hollywood... Bollywood is still cinematic, films should be like a real life happening and should has beleivable things,, In Bollywood a Bike Mechanic(HERO) who is so poor is dancing duet with his lover(HEROINE) in SWITZERLAND!!!!! OMG... ANyway enjoy the movie..

And on and on and on and on.. It never ends, even some film makers are trying to change the bolly wood style they are cornered by people who enjoy the movies only with 4 songs, 5 fights, on foreign song, one masala song, a kissing scene... goff..!! Never ending..
