about a man who comitted a crime when he was a kid -recently released into society who tries to live a normal life again...Everything seems to be going well- he's got a job, girlfriend and friends; but when people find out who he really is they immediatley cut him off and judge him harshly. It ended with a cliffhanger- in my opinion Eric/Jack won't comit suicide since he still has his whole life ahead of him. I's quite a sad story but most of the times true. i think eveyrone deserves a second chance if they are truly remorseful...

Oh no. That's just a sad story. I'll try to watch it, if i have time, but since you've shared the plot, i know what to expect. Hmm..yes, second chance is good. If he would change for the better. But what if not? it turned out being bad again. I think it depends, what about when someone committed a crime like murder? would they be given a second chance? As for me it depends. But as you said, everyone deserves a second chance if they are truly remorseful.

Yeah, I guess it depends on the person if he/she is really determined to change for good. About your example if someone had committed murder, I guess since that someone had been incarcerated as payment for the crime committed in accordance with the governing laws of their country, society can still give that someone a change to make good of his/her life for good. But the sad thing is upon knowing the past of that someone especially if they have been imprisoned, some give them a hard time. Thanks for your time my friend.

Saw the movie. Isn't that one of those 2 boys who killed a kid? They lived in England? I am not sure everyone deserves a second change. Many people did get that change but still they don't change. It's a bad thing if we start feeling pity with the killer.. something that happens most of the time. All the help is for the killer/monster/criminal not for the victim. We even dare to say it's the victim his/her own fault!

The victim in the movie did do something bad- since she provoked the kids- I think the 2 boys killed her, everything was just so unclear.. I agree- some people don't change but there are others who desperately want to.

I agree with your viewpoint.A person should be given a second chance, sometimes third and fourth too.As long as ,love and support from our loved ones is there,we can always try to become better men.We all make mistakes,we need to forgive ourselves and others too.We live in a society where nobody is perfect. To forget our past and live in our present with dignity is necessary for a good present and prosperous and bright future .

I agree with what you said too- it really helps to have our family by your side supporting you. Indeed, humans make mistakes, but a second or third chance is enough though since some people abuse the kindness of others..

I did not get a chance to watch the film yet. I liked this link though. Will watch it as soon as possible. It reminded me of Les Miserables by victor Hugo. The Protagonist is respected by all, loved by his adopted daughter yet when they learn that once he was in a prison, they all start treating him like a convict.

yeah, it is just sad that when people know of your dark past or secret they immediately judge you wrongly and forget about all the good things that you have done. in the movie he even saved a little girl..
