How long a Man Servive without Food and Water????

According to medical Science, A man can survive only 4 days without water and 8 days without food.But surfing the net a came across the news that in the last earth quick in Pakistan on Oct 2008, a lady survived for more than two month. Is that possible?????

I don't know if I believe that is possible. That is a really long time. Saying a person was to survive for two weeks is pushing it in my opinion. But there is all kinds of stuff that I'm sure would make claims like that. I would believe the medical science though.
