The long awaited mega-fight pitting Pacman and Mayweather has been on the news for almost 3 years or even longer. Negotiations were said to have been broken down by so many controversial demands of Pretty Boy Floyd and the business rivalry of Top-Rank and Golden Boy promotions also dismantled the previous negotiations. Recently, Jinkee Pacquiao the wife of Congressman Manny Pacquiao confirmed a fight between the two may happen this year as well as a news that Mayweather called Pacquiao out in the social networking site Twitter to "Step Up Punk" rant plus a said phone call from Mayweather himself talking to Pacquiao for the possible fight can justify that the megafight may happen. However, these are still assumptions for now, unless their is a final approval of both fighters and signing of a fight contract by both fighters then we can say the fight is on the way. For now, there is no actual negotiations yet, no terms were given by both parties, and no final contract signed, still boxing afficionados can still wait. Let's see.

It is in the news today that the protagonist is schedule to meet to talk about the agreement of who gets more and who gets less. Hopefully if both parties have reach a decision and everybody agrees to it tehn the fight will be on! If that happens, i think the match will be scheduled on the 3rd week of May and i guess it will be held in dallas cowboy's statdium.

Yeah, we are all hoping to see this megafight and settle the score, however in the news today, Mayweather told Pacquiao that he is not comfortable with the 50/50 split of revenue. He demanded a higher profit for him than Pacquiao and Manny should abide to his terms and demands. Well if that;'s the case again the megafight is still on the dark side. The issue of revenue sharing has derailed the possible negotiations between the two. With this case, it was reported that Pacquiao will move on to the next opponent that Top Rank will offer for him. There are four opponents presented to him, and i think Pacman is looking for a Pacman vs Cotto rematch. Nevertheless, it is still early to speculate, let us still wait and see.

Floyd has a lot of excuses just to avoid Pacman. He uses media to lure people that he ain't afraid of anybody. But in reality, he is really afraid of Pacman. How come he wants to have the bigger share, when in fact, both of them are heavy money generators? He even rejected the 60-40 deal in which the winning boxer gets the bigger percentage. If he losses to Cotto, then the possibility of Pacman-Mayweather will be next because he's zero is already affected. All he cares about is his zero. Hope that Cotto knocks him out.

I also hope that Cotto knocks out Floyd. With that, the possibility of having Pacman and Cotto will become true. Plus, he can't anymore dictate that he should have the biggest share.

I'm still interested in seeing this fight but not as much as I used to be. Both fighters are getting older and Manny didn't look that good in his last fight against Marquez. If this fight ever does happen, and I'm still not convinced that it ever will, then it won't live up to the hype.
