After riding for 10 years I finally fell off for the first time. The funny thing is that it was a 4 foot tall pony. Usually I'm able to stick on really well if a horse ever starts acting up and getting a bit crazy. But on a little pony it's harder because you don't really have much to grip on to since theyre so little. All this pony did was start bucking around and then tucked her head between her legs. It got me so off balance that I just flew right off. I landed on my side, didn't get hurt but I'm definitely feeling it today lol. I don't even remember exactly how it happened. All I remember is flying in the air and seeing the ground get closer and closer to my face. I got right back on and I didn't let the little booger throw me off again lol. Have you ever fallen off a horse before?

First off, it's nice to know that you ride horses! I don't think I'll ever pass off as the horse-riding type. I've only been on a horse a couple of times (back when I was little), and both times there was a guy in front walking and leading the horse. I hope you feel a little better by now.

That's the same as my boyfriend lol. He loves coming out to the barn and just playing around with my horse and giving him food but he doesn't really like to ride. A few times he's gotten on my horse and I've walked him around and he actually liked it and thought it was fun. lol But one time he was riding and my horse scooted forward a little bit and to this day my boyfriend swears that my horse tried to run away I think it's hilarious because I was holding on to my horse the entire time but it was still enough to make my boyfriend nervous about getting on. Lol but one day I'll get him to get back in the saddle

Owch...I would hate to think of what my track record would be! Growing up, we raised our own horses, and many started "breaking" at the age of three! We always had upwards of 60 horses...so rendering them rideable and training meant many times..a face plant or two...my luck, I normally landed in the freshest manure pile! Yes, at one time...we were gifted a Welch Pony..because he did not want to be a burden of beast..the little monkey..truly, was almost unrideable...and he knew just how to unload us. You're right...not much to grip on, and they seem just to know how to twist and turn. My last horse "St. Elmo's Fire" (an Anglo-Arab) insisted that each time you rode him...he had to buck you off---after that, you could ride him for the entire day..and he was "bomb-proof", sometimes an inconvenient quirk! Hope your bruises and sores are feeling better!

Oh wow! When you're riding young horses, especially when you're breaking them, you're almost guaranteed to get thrown off at least once. Ponies are such little boogers. They know exactly what to do to get someone off of them. There wasn't any time to react and before I knew it the saddle had slid all the way up to her neck because she tucked her head between her legs, threw me off balance, and then I was airborne lol. Awww Arabs :) They can have quite the personality sometimes!! In order to ride them you almost have to outsmart them just because they're some of the smartest horses. I have an arab now and although he's not bad, he does know how to put as little effort into riding as possible. He knows exactly what to do but he won't do it unless you specifically ask him to do it. He's a sweetheart though and he loves little kids.

Oh no. you've must have been hurt. I'm sorry to hear that, but i think that after you fell, you smiled and laughed. I haven't fell from a horse, but something else. I fell from a ladder. LOL. It was just a stupid accident, i wasn't looking that's why i fell. It hurts so bad, But i still laugh it off.
