5 Things I Want President Obama to Do

So here is a very doable list that I want President Obama to accomplish. In fact, he would garner much more support if he actually accomplished at least two of these things. The only reason I didn't put Republican is because there are just too many issues to generate such a list from such a general audience. However, here are my top five.
1. Pass a Budget. Yes, he needs to tell the Senate (and Harry Reid) to get off his butt and get a real budget passed. He needs to do this ASAP. He needs to bring a lot of pressure on the Senate to gets its act together.
2. Get a Budget passed. He needs to stop campaigning. Get his butt back to Washington and get the budget in hand to sign immediately. Then he can go make his speeches and have his fancy $5,000 plate fundraising dinners. But that should stop until he gets a Budget in hand.
3. Approve the Keystone Pipeline. It is the only thing in Congress at the moment that will actually do what he, President Obama, promised. It will create JOBS. Not even the experts are disagreeing to this act of job creation.
4. Get the spy plane out of Iran. That's a big deal and a major military mistake.
5. Did I say pass a Budget? Again, this should be his absolute top priority. You can't control your spending if you don't know what or where you are spending your money on. You know what the first step any financial expert gives? Create a Budget. If the Government wants to control spending, they absolutely must have a BUDGET.
There. This doesn't mean that I will vote for him or even stop my criticism. But if he at least gets a BUDGET passed, than I will give him a little credit for doing something.
So, what's your top 5?

Why would Obama bother Congress about passing a budget? Passing a budget would place severe limits on his ability to throw money around at will. Think about it. A budget categorizes money and says how much Obama can spend in each category. Increases in the debt ceiling simply allows him to spend money as he sees fit (up to the amount of the ceiling).
The last thing Obama wants is for Reid and Boehner to hand him limits to his spending spree.

Of course, I realize that this is a bit of a wish list to ask the President to actually do his REAL job.

It's more than just a "Wish" list, because sometimes wishes come true. lol

If I thought after reading what he did the last couple of days that he really intended to create jobs, I would be sadly mistaken. I still am upset over him awarding a plane contract to Brazil and not allowing American contractors to even bid on it, more than 300 billion for it is going to Brazil with a budget we can't balance. Tell me how that helps employ Americans? Oh yeah, he says it creates 1200 American jobs, please, give me a break that doesn't even begin to help the problem. So far, I haven't seen him do even half of what he has promised to do and he keeps saying he is. But his actions speak louder than words. Frankly, I can't tell much difference between the Republicans and Democrats anymore. They switch sides so often to which ever one they think will keep them in office. If he just did one thing he promised WELL, it would be better than what I've seen lately. My list reads like this: 1. Revise Immigration.......not just illegals, but the whole process allowed more than all those unemployed to enter the USA in 2007. 2. Infrastructure repairs would help to employ Americans. 3. Get out of Afghanistan.... other countries have gone broke there, are we dumb enough to think we are going to change them, and the amount of money we are spending there is part of the reason the budget is so bad. 4. Healthcare... a viable plan that doesn't deny anyone coverage and makes it affordable. 5. Quit using social security to give congressional raises and return the funds to it that they have borrowed and now say we are running out of funds for social security recipients. As the President, he needs to spend time doing his job and not playing everywhere but in Washington. Oh yeah, I forgot, the congress, President, and Supreme Court justices, need to pay into social security and I bet they would fix it rather than cause problems for all the rest of us who don't have private retirement funds due to the economy bust. 401K's haven't proven to have been the solution for many who are retiring now and have lost everything but social security.

My top 5 would be...
1-Enforce our immigration laws. Illegals are one of the biggest problems our country has to deal with.
2-Raise minimum wage to at least $12 an hour. No one can live on $7.25 an hour.
3-Repeal Obamacare. This is a no brainer.
4-Pass a real budget and stick to it.
5-Step down as President. The United States can not survive another 4 years under a socialist President.
