I'm not talking about fake story here.
Somewhere in Borneo (I forgot exact place, sorry), students hard to be smart. They don't have facility in their village. They have to risk their life just for going school.
On the other hand, government (specially parliament) not even care. They busy with their own project. If the project for their people, I'm very happy. But the problem is most of project only profitable for elite (not for people).
Corruption .... oh corruption, you just make our people more dumber

One of the things that would make a country strong is education. That is my opinion. We have to start in knowing things or educating ourselves. Otherwise, we won't know what to do. Just like in politics. If people doesn't know the laws and their rights then people will just let those in the power to run the country. Even if it means corruption.
So what I can say about the students that you have mentioned is that they are indeed commendable for what they do. Education is not a privilege, it is a right of everybody in this planet.

Corruption is the cancer of developing countries. There is no excuse for not providing adequate basic services like education and medical care. Politicians are not trust-worthy. We must always view them with suspect and see what they do to rate them. No doubt there are good politicians with a conscience. But we just can not accept them blindly as they could change their stand and principle any minute. Establish a pressure group, question all unfair decisions or non-decisions. Force them to make all transactions transparent with open-tender. Setting up an anti-corruption agency with legal authority to prosecute is an effective way to check the growth of corruption like what Hong Kong does with ICAC. Any parliamentary representative of your area if he/she is not performing, vote them out! Educate the voters to see the greater picture. Tell them to think about the future of their children to vote for a government that is clean and efficient to provide all the basic facilities.

Something must be done, even if it is destined to fail. I don't really know the details, but I feel there is a need to fight the injustice head-on. Let's say, a new political party with clean, anti-corruption policy as its manifest is created to contest in general elections. The aim is to create an awareness to all the people that corruption is a cancer. Although it is already in the system, it can be cured if we want to take action. It may be a long and painful process but it has to start somehow somewhere. We can't abandon our country to let it to rot. Do what we can and hope for the best. Remember, since corruption is already in the system, are we also a part of it and doing the same to encourage more corruptions?

I think i've seen a video of these one. Those children trying to cross a destroyed hanging bridge. They're risking their life, just to go to school. I also saw one girl who was so terrified and afraid to look down because of the fast flowing river. What if they fall? Oh no. Disaster! I hope that their government will do something about it.

Olleenz,
To blame if, in fact this does not relate directly to parliament. But also to blame rogue elements in government, because they are implementing the program. And a lot of corruption is that they (departments, government agencies, civil servants, teachers and others). Parliamentary secretaries is not part of the parliament, but he was part of the government. So many people commented empty because they do not understand the structure of the country and they are not involved in the administration ( such as civil servants). So their comments are not well targeted and useless. it also triggered behavior of journalists who exaggerate, because it deals with politics. This is natural, because the parliament is the political center. I know this, because I worked as a civil servant.

When I still fresh graduate from school, I'm so idealist. I join particular party to voice my though. But my voice too vocal, some of them try bribe me with position in civil servant. I can feel the danger, so I quit.
I understand government structure and mechanism in my country. The real problem is my government only make real action after situation become national issue.

I would like to see all of these countries with people running the countries that have the main aim in helping the people rather than them-selves, in this world today no-one should be hungry and everyone should have an education, I wish for the world is for this to happen.

Education is important, everyone know that. Some people even risk their lives for this. But government seem like not aware such thing. They only care about their own benefit
