A friend of mine has a little she who has cancer. She is only 3 years old and is suffering from one of the rarest cancers you can get. When it was first found, the doctors explained that she would have very high dose chemotherapy every day for 3 weeks and if there was no change treatment would be stopped and there would be nothing they could do for her. After just a week of treatment she lost all of her hair. After 3 weeks the tumor had shrunk and so the treatment continued, every single day she has to go to the hospitable for her treatment. Some weeks there is improvement and some weeks there is none. It really breaks my heart, no one should have to go through this, especially not a 3 year old little girl. This beautiful little girl should be a inspiration to all of us, she is going through all of this and still always has a big beautiful smile on her face!

Are you from the Philippines? You can visit Father Carmona for treatment and it is free. He is at Don Bosco Technical School Kalentong. He is giving an enzyme. I think it can help your friend's daughter.

I know how devastating it is when a little child has cancer. I lost a grandson to cancer 10 years ago. The scan is still there. He was brave and taught us many things during his illness. Now I am having my own fight with cancer and the memory of my Tomás helps me cope with it.

It´s ok, samd. I do think that illness is small children are terrible. But I´m 66 and I have lived a wonderful life. Even my chemotheraphy has had not many bad side effects and I´m on remission now. I meant to sau scar insted of "scann". My hug to the child´s family.

My sister's son had the same when he was of of the same age. There was no hope in their life. Doctors could not do any thing. Finally they resorted to only prayers. They attended a healing worship session and prayed to Jesus. He was completely healed. Today he is a Doctor in US. Through out his career God helped him to be the Topper in his studies. Those who believed Jesus will agree with me.

i can imagine how the parents felt when their child at 3 years old was diagnosed with cancer..well, i think the disease cancer doesn't choose the age of a person to be inflicted by it..we just wish a child as young as that would not have to suffer and go through all this but god bless her and hope every thing will be alright and that she will truly get well soon..

Reading this makes my hair skin raise up.i cannot imagine the suffering when we have this illness.the little girl is too young to have that illness.I know how it feels specially to the parents watching their child benn going through all this treatment. We should be thankful everyday we are healthy because their are some people like this child who are less furtunate to have.We pray for her recovery.I hope she get well soon, and may the miracles be granted for her.

Cancer is a horrible and evil illness and I hate it when it gets hold of a person and makes him or her ill. It is far worse in this case because the poor little girl is just three years old. She is too young to far having chemo and losing all her hair must have been scary too. Life can be so cruel sometimes. It breaks my heart to hear about that poor little girl and that she should not be suffering from Cancer at just three years old. Good luck to that unfortunate little girl.

This is really sad. Cancer is such a horrible illness and you don't want it affecting anyone. But it's even more difficult when it affects someone so young. It really breaks my heart when it happens.

I can understand your feeling.Even as a medical student I really cannot bare these cruel things because I do not dare to face with them...Why would the God leave so many sufferings to human beings to let us fear and in desperate because we have nothing to do with them? As the poor girl why should she endure the terrible disease before she has enjoyed life? What on earth can we do to fight with fate? Wish the girl could hold on and I think the girl should not only rely on the chemotherapy and try to strengthen her immune system because in my country people who are diagnosed with cancer often seek for help from Chinese medicine while chemotherapy so that their immunity can help in fighting with the disease and that is really important. Wish the girl could recover soon!

Sad to hear that story. Cancer is the disease that doesn't choose any ages. Everyone can have a cancer and in the case of that girl. She might got it thru their genes.

If it comes to cancer I always wonder where it does come from. But also why there are so many different kinds of and how come after all these years there is still no cure. I agree with you this is a disease nobody should have, no matter the age or gender. It's hard to keep smiling, perhaps it's easier for a kid to do so, if you still have parents who love you, still have some faith everything will be alright.. one day.
