Hello myLotters,
According to myself observation,I don't usually drink coffee as much as 2 cups per day during hot weather, normally one cup is just enough for me to have during office hour to prevent myself from sluggish feeling.
But during winter I have notice that my coffee intake has increase at least a cup more than usual. It might be the cold weather effect and that make myself warm.
How about you my fellow mylotters? How's winter affect your coffee intake?
I'd love to hear from you..Thank you for sharing your views and experiences.
Happy mylotting..

I used to have a caffeene addiction. It was iced tea. Especially in the summer i darnk alot. When i realized i needed to cut back i had headaches. Thats the sign of caffeene addiction. I still have more than my 16 ozs of caffeene of coffee in the summer because i will have at least another 16 oz in iced tea. So summer months it will be more like 32 oz.

Hi cloud: I love coffee and it's just basic for my breakfast so I don't think it's about the weather. In my case, drinking coffee is about the flavour. I love how hot coffee taste and it gives me plenty energy for my day so winter or summer I drink at least a cup of coffee everyday.

I love drinking coffe, I used to drink a lot, but now, I reduce it to three cups a day, but, I find really pleasant to drink a cup of coffee, when the weather is cold, and even better if it´s raining outside, I don´t think that my consume of coffee increases during winter, yet, winters are not too cold, where I live, but, I find it way more pleasure, that´s true.

When it is warm outside, I want something cold and never drink coffee at home. If I go out to eat, I will get coffee, but the air keeps it colder than I would like it. In the winter, I drink more coffee and tea, in the summer, cold water or soda.

Hi. i don't like to have coffee. earlier i like to have milk. but now i avoided both. In winter season i rarely have one cup of coffee. In our college, more students go to have tea in break. To accompany with them. i used to have tea. I just limited with a single cup of tea.

Actually my coffee and tea increases when it gets colder. I drink about two cups of coffee a day and about three to four cups of tea and that includes herbal tea. The reason I only drink two cups of coffee is because I buy the beans and grind it myself. If I were to get a pack of regular ground coffee it would lose the flavor before I finish it off.

The intake doesn't change but the way I take it does. I usually have Lattes in the Summer and hot coffee with creamer in the Winter. One cup is enough for me too. I seem to be very sensitive to the caffiene and end up staying up all night if i drink too much. Happy Mylotting to you too!

To me personally, it doesn't make any difference how much coffee I drink in warm or cold weather. I drink more coffee when I work overtime in the office or when I attend a workshop held by my office.

It is good to take coffee during cold days. I keeps you warm. However, during warm seasons we take tea to cool our body. Green tea is known to take the heat away from our body. Have a good week end.

First off, I have to say that I don't drink coffee all that often. I drink so little coffee typically that it actually behooved me to get a Keurig maker so that I could have coffee without wasting a lot of it by making pots at a time. With that said, I do find that I drink a lot more coffee during the winter than I do during the rest of the year because of the fact that it is something that will help me to stay warm.

I think if you just notice this increase in coffee intake just this winter, you'd be surprised that when spring or summer comes, your intake would remain the same. It wouldn't decrease. I think your system is just requiring more caffeine, over time, and it has nothing to do with the weather.
I think.

I always drink coffe before, but then it lessens. I think I feel like acidic to it so I only limit my intake for coffee. But then I guess you are right. We tend to drink coffee or hot beverages to warm us a bit. It is good feeling to drink hot ones when the weather is cold and most specifically it's good to have a drink with your special someone.

I guess it is possible to increase coffee intake when the weather is cold.In my case,I love to drink coffee when it is raining or when the weather is cold. But it also depends on the person, cause for me I do take coffee to prevent the coldness but some people more prefer to take hot soups.

To be perfectly honest, I haven't been drinking coffee all that long. Maybe a year at best, if that. And in fact over the harsher months I haven't really made any. Why, I like using the coffee maker to make coco because that's my favorite winter time drink. And, as of to date I haven't figured out how to do both.
However, I drank about the same ammount of coffee year-round. One cup a day generally (after making two three days worth), maybe two depending on my mood. For me, drinking coffee actually serves as a nerve relaxer. Don't ask me why or how, but it just does. And for another odd reason it's the only hot drink I can drink year-round.
