Premiere League vs La Liga

I always look forward to weekends because that's when most football games are played. While watching the games, I would be talking and commenting on the games with my friends, and I find that really enjoyable. One thing that always comes up whenever my friends and I discuss football is which is the better league - the English Premiere League or La Liga. Personally, even though I watch and enjoy both, I prefer the Premiere League. First of all, the title race is much more interesting. Upsets pretty much happen all the time, and I find all games entertaining. What about you? Which league do you prefer?

It all depends on your viewpoint on the game. Do you like to see the best teams or do you like to see competitive teams. In my opinion two of the best teams in the world and two of the best players in the world ply their trade in La Liga. I am talking about Barcelona and Real Madrid and about Messi and Ronaldo. But if you look beyond this to the other teams they are not in the same league as these two.
On the other hand, in EPL the teams are much closer together, but the talent level has gone down a level in the past few years. Old players like Henry and Scholes when they have returned suddenly seem to make the teams stronger by their presence which is not a great statement on the existing talent. But the reality is that there are around 5-6 clubs with a realistic chance of winning the title and that to me is the most important aspect.
So I pick EPL over La Liga.
Cheers!

Of course there are young talents available. Jack Wilshere, Aaron Ramsey, Chris Smalling, Lindergaard, De Gea, Cleverley and so on. But I guess these talents have at least two more seasons left in them before they can establish themselves as the center piece of their team.
Cheers!

Ram, and don`t forget 2 legend of EPL and 1 star of EPL had been back and play in EPL now..
they are Thiery Henry for Arsenal (legend) and Robbie Keane on loan in Aston Villa (both of them spend 2-3 months in EPL, while MLS season is still not active) and Paul Scholes will be back for helping his team until the end of season

I love watching La Liga because of both Real Madrid and Barcelona, but yes, it is rather clear that the other teams don't exactly play at the level of these two top-tier teams.
I prefer the title race in EPL because as you said, a lot of teams are capable of winning the trophy, and that's something that's really great to watch. Yes, the talent level may have gone down a bit the last few years, but there are some young players in the EPL that will surely grow to be pillars of their respective teams in the next couple of years, such as Wilshere and hopefully Henderson. Maybe even De Gea too, who knows?

One of the reasons as to why I love watching Premiere League is because my favorite player and favorite team both play there, and nothing beats watching them play.

I'm a huge fan of Steven Gerrard and Liverpool. How about you? Any favorite players in the premiere league?
