When it comes to economic recession, many of us are in desperate situation. Some of us might still have mortgage needed to be paid off, and some of us have family to feed, and we are might be the only bread winner. With such situation, we just have to take whatever available out there to keep up the bill, and make what we can. I simply don't understand some people still go cocky about, "oh, such job with low pay, and long hours, who wants to work for it?" Or "I was a manager before, now I have to work just menial job, no way." Oh well, people with such attitude, they never learn, and they never know how to adapt to a difficult situation like this.

I have been in those situations before and I did go out and find a job. I did what I had to do. Although I did have good jobs and was lucky to find one when one failed me. But things have gotten to a point with my physical and mental health. Now I cannot work. But if I could and was in a better physical and mental shape, I would. I hear what you're saying. And I agree. Do what needs to be done.

Hi Kingparker, I am not picky. I will do any job to make money, especially during these difficult economic times. People are blessed if they even have a job right now.

In my situation I would much rather take a job doing anything just to make money. Unfortunately, the issue I have is that my husband needs to be taken care of because of his broken foot. He cannot get around in his wheelchair without being pushed. Since we do not have enough money to get him a caregiver I am his care giver and therefore need to be there for all his doctor's appointments. I think that people who do not take any job to help out their financial situation really need to think what is more important, having a job they do not like that help pay bills or to wait for the job they want and run the risk of running out of money.

What these people see is the monetary value of the job and not the entire value of it. I have worked in many places earning a despicable salary but earning much more than just money. I am in the business of personal training and while working in a little company experimenting in the sales department, I ended up making lots of contacts and today, many of my most present customers are the ones I earned in that little company. Working isn't just about money, it is about the whole experience, that is the true value and you do not need a high paying job to get it.

Every dollar counts. Small jobs can help somehow.

Hi kingparker, I totally agree with you...some people try to live beyond their means, which in this ecomomic dosen't make a lot of sense. I think these people have not reached that bottom like a lot of others have because they are still trying to play "Big Willie"...Caviar mind with a hot dog pocket... When people realize that the title they use to have does not mean anything anymore when you are searching for a job to feed you and your family...its just find a job to maintain stability for my family... As hard as it is out here to find a job believe me no one cares if you don't take a job there are so many people looking for a job the position will be filled and fast.. When you get down to one of those low points people will eventually take any job they can get....it no longer about that great title....

I am in agreement with you: people need to take whatever work is available in order to take care of his/her family. Unfortunately, some people are cocky, and they expect to find a new job overnight with a "title" just like their last job. Because of the recession, people should not turn their noses up at "menial" jobs. I have a close friend who was recently terminated, and she is willing to work hard and accept whatever work is available.
