Since the modern cultures took over human civilization, capitalism took over commercial activities. As a result, capitalists have been killing human spirits of cooperation with and non-exploitation of others by their selfish philosophies of competition for progress and exploitation of opportunities. With these perceptions, they make progress while common people are exploited.
With the advent of Internet, a new way of enterprising got evolved that may be called as collaborative enterprising in which a person sitting in comforts of his/her home may participate in his/her free time and earn a few dollars through moving his/her fingers across keyboard of his/her computer without any capital investment. This collaborative enterprising lead by google, wikipedia, etc is participated by millions of people across the globe.
The small drops are joining together to become an ocean and challenging capitalism in its bastion of enterprising. The capitalists have united and lobbied to ban Internet and hence the collaborative enterprising to eliminate the challenge they are afraid of. The outcome of their fears are the two bills SOPA and PIPA.

Good thing that these two bills are falling apart. It would basicly destroy the internet as we know it. It would be almost impossible to even let these bills pass by and not think that there wont be any consequences. If it passed how many hackers will out on an outrage and start doing something worse than what they actually do? It would be a virtual war.
The good thing is that will all the petitions and protests against these bill most major supporters backed out and this might fail just like the previous bills before.
