Its Saturday night and we are at home watching tv... we are watching "Storage Wars" on tv tonight. This is a show where people go to storage units that have been abandoned and can bid on them. They dont know what is inside the units, they can only look from outside for 5 minutes but cant go in to look around. The show itself is pretty cool, sometimes they make out really well with some of the finds and make more than what they paid for the unit on some items and some dont make anything near what they paid for the unit. I have never come across anything that I have found or been given that was worth more than what it was. at least not yet. Have you ever come across anything that you received, purchased or found that was worth money??

No....not alot more then it's origional price...I have tried though. I bought a couple of puzzles at a rummage sale I had never seen before....one in a tube (very old)....one all made of wood. A map of the USA....but when I went online they aren't really worth much. I thought they were unique. When I found them though it was so much fun!

Years back I worked out a trade. I gave a friend a video game I purchased for $19.99 and I got an old 19 inch television and some Star Wars and Empire Strikes Back trading cards. I ended up selling the cards for a total of $175 back in about 1995. I also came across a book at a garage sale that I purchased for $2 and resold for $100.

I have not. I do watch the show. My son actually got me started watching it a while back and then when I would work the females would watch it while I was working that block. It's really interesting and I think I'd like to do some stuff like that. I've worked in a jail for the last 10 years and I'm just ready to do something different. I will go to thrift stores and things like that, but never find anything. I do order bulk coins and then search through them. So, far the most I have found 1 coin worth is $60. Which, is pretty good, for just one coin.

You know what, my cousin always go through those storage units from time to time, and he wants to discover some treasure some people might forgotten, and by luck, you can get some really good stuff from it. For me, I might not have such patience and heart for it. You can spend a lot of time on it but getting nothing from it. Or you might get something precious from those people deem are junks.

I think you have to have the patients to want to go through a ton of stuff to see if you find anything worth something....it is for some people, not everyone. LOL thanks for the response and good luck to your cousin. Have a great day and Happy Mylotting!! :)
