Anyone knows the real new year?

Each year everyone is celebrating new year. My question is how many new years we have? Christian believes January 1 is a new year while the Chinese is really opposite, the Buddhist also different and among others.
Clarification and some explanation is highly aired here. We need to know more-it's a brotherhood and sisterhood compliment.

The exact number of new calender years is hard to determine since some are not documented. I belief their is only one universal new year starting Jan 1. The rest such as the chinese new year of the dragon is cultural.
