I was in one of those funks last night where I could not fall asleep. I tried everything and finally flipped on the TV and found a shopping channel. I was watching the stuff they were selling and wondering who in the heck buys this stuff?
They had testimonials and people calling in and a ticker of how many were sold and all that and then my second thought was who is up this late to even be watching this?
Then my third though was... anyone from MyLot ever buy anything from TV and if you did what was it and did you like it?
Cheers
Zelo

I have. It was around 3am and I was going through a bout of insomnia which had been going on on-and-off for about 2 months. I bought a watch for my fiance, which was valued at £400 (GBP) and I paid £75 for it. It arrived a few days later, and what had looked fantastic on the screen, actually looked cheap and tacky in the flesh so to speak. It took me nearly 5 months to get my money back and return the item and I would never do it again.
My fiance however has bought several film cells and autographs from online shopping and has been very happy with them.
I guess it depends on what you are looking to buy and the company you are buying from as to the experience you have.

I've not personally ever bought anything that I've seen on television, but I did receive a Magic Bullet that was purchased from the television as a wedding gift. This was something that I would have never bought for myself, but it is also something that has gotten regular use since I recieved it. They are perfect for making individual smoothies or adult mixed drinks. I've also used it somewhat like a food processor as well. I have to admit that I love it.

There are a few TV shopping channels here. However, I almost will not watch it. Although the products look cool with great price. But I always wonder whether its product is so good enough. I prefer to go shopping online since I can see others' comments about the products. It will help me to decide whether I should buy the product or not.
I love China

Oh man, I can't watch those channels... What a joke... I have never bought anything from TV - I don't even watch TV... But I know my dad has had moments where he sees something totally random, like a tupperware set, and will say, "ALYSSA! WRITE THAT NUMBER DOWN!!!!" and he will go online and buy it. LOL. I never really need anything that a channel like HSN has on.

I watched them if I really got nothing to do and there's really nothing to watch on TV. They sure can talk and everything they were selling got extra. Like a set of knives came with extra set of knives (who the heck need so many knives in the kitchen?). Then there's that tagline, "Wait, not yet, if you purchase this in an hour you'll receive this and this" It's like, we should wait, there's more and more. I wonder, if I were interested to buy that, should I wait as waiting seem to have more extras.
I don't know why people believe it and we always know what we see on TV is nothing close to the real deal. Plus the ones with exact brand and functions sold in the real store are totally cheaper.

I often watch telemarketing from Tv and i found sometimes some items which sounds really good but the price was not cheap at all so i did not want to risk and buy something expensive and not take a closer look. So i have never bought anything from TV.Maybe if the prices were power i would take that risk.

I have only ever bought money making schemes on TV, and I did not like it so much. I will buy stuff online, but not from television. It just seems to unpredictable and high pressured. Plus I do not get any shopping channels now.

Back in the 80's I bought an album from TV. It wasn't on a home shopping network. I have gotten close to buying from home shopping TV shows, but then decided not to. I've seen things that my friends have bought and they are rather cheap looking. One was a ring, she bought it for $29 and she could have got the same thing at Wal-mart for $10. It wasn't gold or gold plated. The other person bought a scarf and mitten set. It was ok, but not the quality that they made it out to be on the show. Again, she could have bought it from Wal-mart, saved shipping costs and spent less.
Years ago, when my son was 8 yrs old, there were several nights that he couldn't sleep so he got up and all that was on TV was the home shopping shows. One day I was cutting some veggies and complained about the dull knife and he says "Mom, you should get the (he named the product) because it dices and slices and it comes apart easily to be cleaned. It only costs $19.99, and that's not all, you also get a paring knife and an apple corer."
