I am and always have been a Ravens (and before that Colts) fan. We lost the game. Let nobody say that New England WON it. We gave it to them on a silver platter with gold lining.
I am still sick to my stomach.
Really would have liked to see Jim & John play for the Super Bowl so now like you I am rooting for New York to kick some butt!
Thanks
Zelo

The New England Patriots are a really, really good football team. But add in the fact that they're consistently lucky and consistently getting the best calls from the refs, you take a playoff team and turn them into a Super Bowl team. It's as simple as that.
Tom Brady's first interception was called back for illegal contact. That was incredibly tilted in the Patriots favor! No doubt about it. The home team receiver gets touched when he decides to run through the defender - seriously? That's illegal contact? And let's not even get into the ten different blatant holds committed by the offensive line to protect Brady. I mean, I understand that holding can technically be called on every play, but these O linemen were grabbing shoulder pads, face masks, and anything else they could get their hands on.
I don't want to go on a tangent about how crooked the refs are, but it was obvious that only one team got the benefit of the doubt. That's unfortunately how it is in every sport. If you're the media darling, the face of the sport; if you're the favored home team, you are going to get far more calls. But that doesn't make it right.
Even still, the Ravens outplayed New England. They could have won the game if only their WR would have caught the football with a few seconds left in the 4th! The defender barely even swiped his arm across the ball and it fell loose. You have to make that catch!
And you have to make that kick! How do you miss such a short field goal in such a big game?
In only two other instances in NFL history has a team given up that many turnovers and walked away victorious. And at no other time in NFL history has a team lost the turnover battle and got beaten in every other aspect of the game and still won.
I hope the Giants crush the Patriots. New England earned it. The Pats played great football all year. But in that AFC Championship game, they were a heck of a lot luckier than they were good. 99.9% of the time they lose that game. It's just crazy to me that they're going to the Super Bowl. Wow.

I did not watch it as I had to work but my customers kept me informed. I live in NE so as you can imagine, most are huge Patriots fans. Right at the end, I had a customer who actually lives across the street from the store, come in and buy a 12pk. He told me that he was buying it for his buddy Dave who was pretty upset as he had bet quite a bit of money on the Patriots and they lost. A guy who had just walked in the door caught the conversation and said, " Pal you are wasting your money buying him that because they just won!!" I am guessing that they pulled through right at the very last minute?? Sounded like an intense game which always makes it more fun to watch.
