Fishing with hook and line or other methods for fun is amazing. There's untold thrill in it which cannot be felt and shared by others except the angler himself. So to experience the sensation, interested parties should go to a place, lake, river, pool, etc. where there are live and swimming school of fish, with your hook, line, sinker and bait. The thrill and the sensation is there present when a fish, having swallowed everything bait, hook and line, tries to wrestle with you as it struggles to free itself from the hook. The sensation is unforgettable; it's as if it's always at your fingertips. Narrate your hook-and-line fishing experience. You may interview those who have gone this kind of fishing and post your report as told by them.

There are no good fishing spots here, where I live. Although, I would love to go fishing. It would be a great time to relax and have a quiet day alone.

I'm living here in the Philippines. There are fishing spots here but I'm living far away from those places.

I do enjoy fishing since I've had so many great memories that are associated with a fishing trip. The earliest memory I have of fishing was when my family would go to aqueduct to fish for striped bass and catfish. I was around 6 or 7 at the time. My siblings and I were never allowed to reel the fish in because my parents were afraid that we'd get pulled in the water (there were no railings or anything to prevent us from falling in). I also remember there being a hill that had a huge field of wild flowers on the other side. Whenever we went with our friends all the kids would go and run around in this field. It was very fun.
Other fond memories I have are from when my family would go camping at Iron Gate Lake during the summer. It was something to look forward to because a bunch of families would all go spend at least a week camping so there would be so many kids my age around (there was at least 10 to 15 of us). We'd go fishing for perch in an inflatable boat during the daytime. Most of the time my little brother and I would end up napping in our boat instead of fishing though. And at night we'd go to the dock with our lanterns and try to fish for little catfish. Sometimes we'd stay up for most of the night without getting anything at all.

I find fishing to be a very relaxing hobby. It was one of the dew memories that I had with my dad. He was an avid fishermen, belonged to Bass Masters. I remember him being in fishing competitions growing up. He still fishes now. He is a catch and release fisherman and that is how he taught me.
I can't wait for nice weather to go and get my license to fish this Spring. Just a few short months to go.
