well this is a question that at times crops in my mind..that are ghost always imply something "evil" or they can be harmless innocents??
as per the horror movies why "ghost" things and stuffs are always elated to "evil"?? and why not some harmless creatures??
can anyone put some light on this matter??

We may believe or not but something in our reality the unexplained experienced, stories that we called "ghost" others may interchangeably took the term spirit.

For my own opinion All ghost are spirits, but not all spirits are ghost...
It does not necessarily mean that ghost could imply something evil or good in nature it is neutral. It can be viewed as "ghost is evil" when it disturbed the living and not being at peace. It can be viewed as good when they help the living person like imploring the Holy Ghost as one of the Holy Trinity.
Not all movie stuff are based truthfully on reality sometimes being exaggerated to promote the movie and build up the aesthetics of the movie per se...

yes i understand what actually you are trying to say. but in my opinion by using words like "ghost" we ourselves are making such things sound as something "unacceptable" "unwanted" like that.
this kind of words are creating an "unusual" type of feeling to our human ear which is not so soothing to us.
may be it will take more time for science to make things clear and evident to the human existence and we all will be waiting for that day.

Yes in some culture it is still unacceptable but for some culture it does make sense for them...
Some field on science already had some research regarding this matter but still on the debatable level because of some factors. because science needs experiment that leads to constant result / verifiable and turns to "theorem." Because on the first place we humans rely on our 5 senses so beyond that it still a question on the metaphysical aspects and not on the psychical and tangible reality so to speak of. However, i am looking forward to it being fully acknowledge on any science field.

Want a good story about a good ghost? Watch a gifted man on CBS TV on Friday nights. I think any ghost that hangs around doesn't feel that their life was finished and is caught between this life and the next. The sense of time is very different for them. Just my thoughts

Assuming that ghosts are in fact real, they are merely a force of nature. Much like a hurricane, a tornado, or any kind of storm are not technically evil or good, they just merely exist. Technically speaking, they are rather restless, but it is just their nature. It is their nature to haunt. If we believe them to be true, it is their nature to scare humans.
Which might seem evil. However there is a purpose with ghosts. They may have unfinished business in this world. Which causes them to be restless spirits of the damned. As they stir around and are unable to really do anything beyond their nature. They are going to cause headaches for humans perhaps, should they be real, but there are other things that cause much agony to humanity that is not necessarily evil.

Sorry I personally know of none but movies make ghosts look scary evil creatures most of the time because it makes the movie scary,which makes them fun,which in turn generates revenue to make more scary movies.
