How Do You Prevent Hair, Lint, and Thread from sticking to Black Pants?

ggrrr....I bought myself this really hop pair of black skinny jeans with flared bottoms. They were a great price on clearance, and I love the way they fit. What I didn't love was the minute I put them on, every piece of hair, lint and thread in the air immediately started sticking to them. What's the best advice for this to prevent this? There is so much static in the air right now. I had bought a lint brush from Fuller Brush when I was attempting to sell it. It does work wonders to remove all the junk, but takes time, and I would have to take it with me everywhere I go. I am wondering....would rubbing a dryer sheet over the pants prevent some of the things from sticking? Thanks for any advice. Marsha

When I have clothes like that I will usually use a liquid fabric softener in the washer and then I use a fabric softener sheet in the dryer. This gives some double static protection. If that doesn't work there is a product called Static Guard that you can spray on things to remove some of the static. It also helps keep wrinkles away as well.

Static Guard would have been great all winter with the amount of static we've had in the air! I ended up now using a lint brush that I bought through Fuller Brush. In fact, I bought 2 of them and carry one with me always.

My husband has a pair of work pants that just seem to attract our dogs hair, they aggravate me so much. I wash them and dry them and when I go to hang them they will still have dog hair on them, then I have to sit there with tape and pull off the hair, like I have time to do that. I need to get some Static Guard for those stupid pants.

A dryer sheet will help a little but probably not as much as you would like. There is this product called static guard that you spray on clothes after they are washed and it takes a lot of the static away, you might want to try that. Back when I used to dance we had these dresses that use get really staticky, we had to use that static guard all the time.

Isn't it strange how that happens, you can have other colours but it is always just the black I wonder why, and I never eat beetroot if I am wearing white because that seems to attract beetroot or is that just me..

A little more moisture in your air would help, but also as you say rubbing a dryer sheet over it. I hope you had fun spending that gift card.
