I'm no feeling well today

I've been having cough and colds these days and I really don't feel good about it. It's something like a harsh feeling on my throat and I can't breathe well because of clogged nose. Actually,I've been drinking a lot of water recently because I know it would help relieve the symptoms. I've also taken some medicine for colds. What else could I do to relieve my illness and feel better sooner?. I need your suggestions. Thanks.

If I have cough and colds like that, I take antibiotics and antipyretics because using medicines for clogged nose have short-term effect. If you feel that your throat harshness maybe because of bacteria or the water that you are drinking. If you drank a lot of distilled water, you will be experiencing harshness of your throat, but if you drink mineral water there is no harshness of throat. Of course you need to take multivitamins everyday to boost up your immune system which is it helps to recover your body faster from illness.

I've read through the discussion here and you have a lot of good advice. We get sick because our immune system isnt functioning properly to fight off infection. One reason is lack of sleep another is white sugar. While you are not feeling well, it is important to watch your diet. I try to eliminate all sugar when I am not feeling my best. It is said that one teaspoon of sugar can suppress or cause our immune system to not work well for many hours. Best of luck to you and I hope you feel better soon.

Feel better. Just take more rest and drink paracetamol or whatever medication available for this type of sickness. By drinking plenty of water, make sure that it is lukewarm. Gargle lukewarm water with salt. This will also ease breathing and reduce clogs in your nose. Hope this helps

As it is occurring for a few days, you should consult with a doctor and get proper remedy. Otherwise it may get worsen and cause more troubles.

I'm sorry; you must feel terrible! I would try to get plenty of rest if you can. It usually helps at least a little to let your body & mind rest. Also, you might need to see a doctor... If it's just a cold, I'm not sure you can do much but maybe take some over-the-counter medicine. But if it's something else, you may be able to take some medication for it. Hope you feel better soon! :)

At the first sign of cough and colds the best solution is drinking lukewarm water till you feel your throat feeling better. However if you let the signs to progress into a full blown cough and colds then you should add some more natural medication such as lukewarm lemon juice with pure raw honey. Taking garlic juice with raw honey in full stomach is also a very effective natural antibiotic.

Just continue doing your water therapy and eat a lot of fruits rich in Vitamin C. And also, it's best to go consult a doctor. Hoping that you get well soon.

Hi there rubylin! I suggest you better take Vitamin C rather than taking medicines IF you have simple cough and colds. Doctors say that there is no cure for cough and colds, its your own immune system that will combat such sickness, so you better take vitamin C to boost your immune system. Also have some hot soup to relieve your sore throat and clogged nose, it helps. You will feel better. Or have some tea, i prefer tea than hot chocolates or coffee, or if you want something sweet, have some milktea. Just dont drink cold. And when sleeping, try to wear some socks on your feet and wrap your neck with a cloth, just dont tie it tight, just wrap it. hehe.. I hope you feel better soon. :)

Hello :) I would suggest taking something like Airborne which is actually a cold preventative but the vitamins (the biggest one being Vitamin C) and all the minerals and herbs that are in these type of preventatives are actually shown reduce your cold time.
