This is a dog story ... I can't recall its title.

I watched it when I was still so young. It's been I think more than 20 or 30 years now. I really want to watch it again, but I can't recall the title. 
I only have two clear scenes in my mind. One is this dog ran so fast and his leash was stuck under the table and the table and his owner fell on the ground. Another scene is the owner's male friend did something to get rid of the dog by I think pretending that the dog bites him. I think the dog did bite him because it sensed that this friend is an enemy. I can still recall that this friend had a bandage on his arm. Can you remember any movie like this?

do u remember whether or not the dogs owner is a cop or detective,fbi etc??
i think the movie u looking for is "K9" starring James belushi..back in ..1984 perhaps..pr around that time.

That's the problem. I can't recall any names for I was so young then. I didn't knew any actor names that time. I was just watching the movie together with my friends. I think the dog is German Shepherd or Belgian Sheepdog. I am not that sure, but I think it's color is gray with black big spots.

Could it be the Shiloh series? I think there are 2 or 3 movies. I loved them and watched them with my kids.

Yes. Hachiko made me cry a lot, that I had eyebags after. Yes. What really touched me was when Richard Gere's wife returned and found out that Hachiko was still waiting for Richard. That was really a very touching scene. Imagine, the wife left and tried to move on but the dog didn't.
The movie that I can't recall the title is more than 2 or 3 decades old. I really want to watch it again. I really think that the dog looked liked a German Shepherd, well, maybe shorter and smaller than German Shepherd. I'll do my best to watch this movie again. I'll randomly check movies about dogs and check their summaries. I know I can recall it when I read the summary or when I see some pictures.
