Selena trusted a female she met at one of her concerts. She opened a boutique and let her run her fan club. She found out from her father that some money was missing and that there were complaints from fans who sent in money and did not recieve anything. It came out that the person Selena trusted had stolen from a previous boss. Would you be so trusting of someone you meet? Would you let them run anything when it comes to you making money? What would you do if you find out that the one you trust has stolen or commited crime but concealed it from you?

Trust has to be earned and sometimes it takes quite a long time for that to happen. Some people have the ability to take time and build up your confidence so that you feel that you can trust them - then BAM! they let you down.
So as I say time is needed and a few experiences with that person before you can really trust them.

I agree. You should not be so trusting when you first meet someone. Especially when money is concerned. Trust needs to be earned and not given away just like that.
