Hi guys, I just have a question in mind, if you were to choose something to dwell on what would you choose? is it WORK OR BUSINESS?.. Work means you'll go to office to do jobs and get paid monthly or whatever.. or you'll dive into BUSINESS of your own.. Do you think which one of these will succeed.?

I am retired and no longer work so for me I would probably dwell on business. My business is freelance writing. It has been sucessful. I haven't been writing much in these Winter months so I have not been very sucessful lately. But in the Spring I hope to feel better and be more successful.

Can I choose both? lol. I would wish to get work as a first income after school, for the time being. I'll be sure to use the money I get from work to invest in assets and when I have enough I will retire and settle on my business. I guess I really can't choose between one of the two in this time where I am still a student. But the best thing one can do is use those two. First is work, then invest in assets and then get your own business until your assets income can pay off all expenses and then quit the work and settle on your own business. At least that's my plan. lol Hope this helps people too. Happy MyLotting!

Well you can choose both but the thing is you can only prioritize one.. So as to a student, maybe after graduating you can think of some ways to earn such income that you really wanted may it be on business or work, well some of us here do the same thing, after quitting work we settle into business.. I guess its the trend now..:)

Hi Emdjay! I would rather work. The reason for that is that with business, i have no money to gamble with or even start with whereas if i work, i would have the money to think of investing on.

It's harder to succeed in business, but it's much more rewarding. Business is more flexible. Some people can't handle rigid schedule, like me for example. I'd rather work for 24 hours in a row then take a day or two off then just keep a daily routine of 8 hours or so.. it's boring and it can be annoying. Especially since there are days when you have so much to do and days when you have nothing to do and time just needs to pass quicker.. also some days you can work better, you're more energetic, and some days you're lower in will and power. I'd always go for business even if it's risky and harder sometimes, it's much more flexible and much more rewarding. The only thing one has to keep in mind is, in business especially, if you fall down, dust off and try again. That's why many people think businesses are bad or fail.. It rarely strikes on the first hit. Gotta have will for it.

Me too, I would definitely go into business no matter how risky it is, maybe we just need to find the best ideas for our customer,, we need to be innovative and competitive so we would not end up on a failure.. Yes, as the saying goes there is no harm in trying.. well for me it the failure makes us stronger and better..

to get job is my aim and to do business is my desire.after i reached my aim, getting job i will start a business.we can't judge it.success in job needs no hard work.just as a daily routine we can do it.but success in business means it requires so much creativity and hard work.if you got the job means you will be happy.but if u start a business and going good means it is veyy very happy and more over lot of satisfaction.

That is true, being on a specific job tells us to be routinary, you get to work 8 and then go home at 5.. its just like an everyday work with no adventure at all.. Satisfied is what we get,, but as what you've said it requires a lot of hard work and creativity..

Both work and business can succeed. In the long run, id chose to have a stable business because its not forever that you would be working. When retirement comes, you wont have another source of income if you don't have your own business. Why not have both? hehe

That's true.. we can't be working for the rest of our lives and even work doesn't have an assurance that we can be in the company in a very long time, so I guess we need to set our minds about an alternative that can give us income to be able to feed our family and ourselves as well..

I think I can comment well as I have done both. I think business is the most rewarding, but you need a lot of dedication and skill to do a business. But a 9 to 5 job is more relaxed and less rewarding. Every business if done well, means suffering in the first few years and then it will prosper. Most of the great businesses did not start with huge capital. I have heard that Coca Cola sold only 8 bottles in the first year. Some people can do a business just to earn for a living but lack skills in delegating etc. Their businesses do not prosper. Doing a job is more relaxed and you have nothing to think about.

Hi joseph, I have also done both but only end up that I dwell more into business, at work I get bored.. and then I opened up a small business and this thing makes me get up early in the morning happy and excited.. Really? Well I guess Coca Cola came along way with 8 bottles.. maybe its just something that need to give your time, dedication, passion and commitment..

Personally, I have went for the working thing first. I am hoping that one day I will have a business of my own, but to be honest, I wouldn't have had the means or experience to have started my own business before. I wouldn't have known what I wanted to do either..lol. There are people out there that know just exactly what to do and when to do it. Those are the ones that opens successful businesses. I wasn't one of those people though...I think I might be a late bloomer.

Well there are several people who doesn't have any background regarding business and they succeed. maybe if it is really the will of GOD, it will happen, it doesn't matter if you don't have any knowledge to it..

good day emdjay23, well, between work and business, both of them spells success. it only depends on the person behind it. however, as the saying goes, there is no employee who really earns that much except if he or she owns a business. so in this way, an employee will really reach the way to his or her tremendous success if he or she will start up the business or else, he or she will end up being an employee. and if were to choose between those, i would choose to put and shape up my own business but as what have had happened to me, the reason why i am turning my back to have my own business, instead, i am again applying for another desk job work.

Hi aira.. I agree, every journey that we take in our lives spells success if we put our heart in it..may it be work or business.. I would also agree, no one get rich in working, unless its your own company, and you will just ends up old in being employee..

I am working in a company now. My goal is to work to earn money. Eventually if I have enough money I will put up my own business. I don't want to be a servant of a company for my entire life. I guess being a businessman is better than a company employee. You have the freedom and you are the boss on your own business.

Sometimes, people see themselves as working hard for the company and eventually put up on their own, I did that several years ago, and now I am happy with business I opened up.. I hope you could venture into it soon..

One of my plans in life is that I have to WORK to EARN to HAVE a BUSINESS. Once i have a business established and it's going ok, i think i'm going to quit my job. That's my plan. so far so good, still nothing happen for now. But hoping it one day. I think if i will start business, i will be successful. I know i will. Be positive.

Business for me! that's my dream that's why i am working on it to finally scape of being monthly paid employee. When you have your own business, you are the BOSS, TIME to work at your discretion ,and profit of your handwork is 100% yours... When you are an employee, your are under control of your boss, you should consume 8 hours in the office, and profit of your hard work goes to the company and not to you.

That is right what I've learned from answering all your ideas.. I guess business can help us to be financially free, we get to be the boss of our own company.. That is also true, we are always on a watch if we are working, every bit in us is measured and evaluated..
