I was just logging on to some sites I haven't been to in forever, and when I typed 'Associated Content' into the address bar 'Yahoo Voices' came up. Did Yahoo buy Associated Content out? I also noticed that my username & password that I used to have from AC no longer work..I had like $2 on my account last time I checked (like 6 months ago). When did this change take place, do you know?

I believe the name change took effect last December but it was announced in November. However I began to notice some changes in October. I no longer received any upfront payment for any of my submissions. I was allowed to publish my articles without upfront payment. But after the name change, it got more difficult to publish. Beginning in December, my articles were returned for editing and a couple were out and out rejected. Since the name change, I have only been able to publish one article and I am kind of losing interest in writing for Yahoo Voices. It has become more difficult to get published since last December -- since the name change. Associated Content seems to have gone a little "hoity-toity".

Associated Content was bought by Yahoo way back in 2010. They changed the site's name, then, to Yahoo Associated Content. Just last December 1, 2011, the site's name changed to Yahoo Voices.

haha Maezee, you have been outdated by a couple of years. There was great excitement for some and great disappointments for some when Yahoo announced the plan to take over Associated Content. Even before that when Associated Content stopped paying international writers, many were upset. Now that Yahoo has taken over Associated Content, those US writers earned more, but international writers who did not join the Featured Contributor program still did not earn from page views.

It has been awhile now since the change over. I log in with my yahoo ID and password. I have since quit using Yahoo Voices because I haven't recieved any type of upfront payment in over three months. No offers and I'm writing in the same style. They want a more personal point of view and that is what I've been doing but each article has been declined. And this last month I did not recieve my performance payments. I don't know what happened but I was earning a very good income on there for the last two years and it has all changed.
