Hello, pinkranga7. I hope that Walt Disney does not sue me but the Jimminy Cricket saying comes to mind..."leat your conscience be your guide". It is hard to hear the voice of YAHVAH (GOD) if it is something that you are not use to hearing.
But... you can figure it out by knowing your Bible. The way to live is in the book, and people need only to read it to be able to "hear" the voice of YAHVAH. "...and he revealed himself by the word of YAHVAH." This is found in 1 Samuel.
It is always important to not only read, but understand what you are reading. How will a person be able to hear the "voice" of YAHVAH? By reading his word. Then he/she will "hear" what they will need to do, or know. Have a great day, and may YAHVAH bless you in all you do. :) :)

Dear if you want to hear God's voice then you can always do. Just read His Word, the Holy Bible. Only that Book can you find God's word and when you read it it is like hearing His voice. God gave us this Book so that through this He could talk to us. We do talk to God through prayers don't we? Now God in response gave us the Bible so that we would hear whatever He wants us to do.

I completely agree when we read the Bible it is easier for us to hear God's voice and know that it is God's voice speaking to us. Sometimes when we are not reading the Bible and engrossed in His word we cannot tell that it's His voice. I know when I am not reading my Bible I don't "hear" His voice as much as I do when I am reading it.

For me hearing God's voice is a strong pull on my heart that I cannot ignore. I don't hear him audibly, but I hear him clearly in my heart. I never really pictured it as God speaking loudly to me as if he was sitting beside me, but placing it in my heart or even my head that he is talking to me. It took me a while to understand the strong unavoidable pull was God speaking to me rather than me just having human compassion or a desire for something. Sometimes it is just hard to describe how you know that God is speaking to you.

For me, you just have to improve your prayer life... you need to always call unto God before you make a decision that would ultimately affect your life. You have to make known to yourself how you should react or how you should be when you are faced with people who questions your faith.
Like all other mylotters who have answered you, this may be done when you do read the bible and know that his messages for you are right there. he has given us his word, his promises... all we have to do is wait, be patient, work towards the best of what we can be... increase our faith and trust in his will.
Of course sometimes we are also confused, we might need to meditate, feel God's presence around us... especially when we are at peace with ourselves.
I have read once that sometimes the answer is always what we feel in our hearts. always trust our inner voice, and this of course is what God is telling us - or even what his angels are guiding us to do...

You hear God's voice by reading HIS Word. It used to be in Old Testament times that one could hear a voice holler out, "I am the LORD!" but there is no need for that now. Also God imparts to you the Holy Spirit so that when you want to do something like stealing, you will lose the desire. Some think that God will talk to you in an audible voice, but there is a verse in the Bible about test every spirit and that voice is probably not from God especially when it tells you to do something that is wrong or even go somewhere that might keep you from helping others.

Reading the Bible is the best way you can talk to because through reading, you understand what God says but you must controlled by His Holy Ghost inside of you if you re saved. His Holy Spirit will lead us to understand Him,and also listening to preaching in the true Church will help you how you can hear Gods Word.
