After living here in the US for more than fifteen years my mother will take the citizenship in a few weeks and she is so nervous! I've recorded myself asking 100 questions and I put it on her ipod so she can listen to them over and over again; even though she does know a lot of the history she wants to make sure to go over so she knows everything. I routinely ask her questions as well to try and catch her off guard but so far she has done really good.
Has anyone else that took the test have any suggestions for her?

I dont have any suggestions for her but i do wish her goodluck. I know a person i work with went through this when he was younger and in high school and said there is alot of history questions they ask you on the test and alot of things that most of us US citizens wouldnt even know about our country that you guys are having to learn. Its pretty crazy that the test she has to take is about the history of the United States.
The guy i work with just took his wife to take the test down in miami and he had to take off work to do this and not sure how it went but im sure ok.

Thanks! I'm telling her to just be calm and she will do fine. I saw a TV news segment once in spanish where they went around asking US born citizens questions about their own country and when I tell you that my mouth dropped opened, it did! They couldn't even name the first president! I was so shocked at this and not being born here I at least know some of the history of the US. It is weird that she has to take an actual test about the history when a lot of the actual citizen don't know basic information about their own country. Happy Mylotting!

Thanks so much I wish you luck as well if you decide to take the test as well. I still need to take my test so I'm hoping to just wait until my mom does hers first.
