hi there my fellow mylotters :) Now a days we do many things in express. Before we only have beeper and now we have mobile phones. Before we need to go to post office just to send a letter or a telegram if we need to send "and instant messages" now in just one click we can send txt messages or send email very quick to the person we want to reach. My question is.. Do you still spend time to do a hand writing mail? Get a post card and go to post office or you prefer a ready made ecard here on net? Me and my Bf are miles apart. We do chat everyday, send txt messages everyday and do some emails too. But i still find time to send him my writing and send it to him even i know it will takes more than a week before he can read it. I think for me its more romantic. Share your views. Thanks.

Sometimes I do send a card, for example for a birthday. A letter only if it's form the bank, assurances, government etc. If possible I do everything by the internet this way it's for free. Stamps are getting more and more expensive, we don't have postoffices anymore and the post is not delivered every day anymore either. I agree with you an old fashioned letter is way more romantic to get as email. Also it's nice to receive something else as just bills and official letters.

hi there wakeupkitty :) Yup I agree with you. Internet helps us a lot specially in communicating people. I just send a normal letter to my boyfriend for special occasion and every month for those monthsarry celebration :D and also after i finish a poem. I send it by regular mail as i think it u can keep it in a box and so nice to read it and u can't easily delete it like letter in out inbox :)

I think it's always nicer to receive a card, or letter, snail mail (regular mail) instead of dull emails and text messages. I, myself would always prefer a letter or a card in the mail.

It has honestly been months since I've put anything in the mail. I pay almost all of my bills through the computer and for those that I'm not able to pay through the computer, I will go and pay them in person because it is a lot more convenient for me. Now, most years I will at least send out some Christmas cards to friends and family members but I didn't even do that this year because there was just too much going on in our family this past year.

I write only birthdaycarts and send them by the "normal" post. But just for sharing information to an other i use e-mail or my phone, because it is easier, cheaper and the most inportant for me it is faster. Because if i really want to know something from anybody i just take my phone and i know it in a few minutes. But sometimes it is cool to get hard writed letters because most of the time we get email and txt messages.

hi there majorroald :) I used to send email on my bf's mobile too because sending me txt to him is costly than a 1minute call. I still want to send him regular mail in special occasion as it makes lil different to greeting him in a txt messages that we can just easily delete it when our inbox is full :) Thank you for the response :)

Yeah, i agree... since we have emails, txt msgs, etc... Handwritted notes or mails, became more romantic. It feels like the person who gave you that really wants to pour his/her heart out to you, and wants you to feel each and every emotion he/she was feeling when he/she was writing it.
