Some people are too used to hitting the 'Skip' button for tags . . .

I have seen some people not even tagging the discussion that they start. How do you expect other lotters to find your discussions? If you tag better, you stand a chance of receiving more responses, and hence, getting paid more. So please NEW LOTTERS, tag your discussions properly. Good luck.

Good point.. I responded to a topic today and I was the first to respond.. Just before submitting I was asked to submit tags.. later I discovered that the topic had no tags before and mine were the first ones.. such a shame for the person who started the topic..

That's what pushed me to start this discussion. So many discussions are left untagged and they are almost of no use. That explains the 'no responses' tab.

Yes you are totally right boyuancy. I have seen this problem too how just people avoid to tag and just skipping it. I have always since i have joined mylot there hasn't been a single discussion in which i have responded or i have started there isn't a single one in which i avoid to tag.I have always been doing it.

That's a nice habit Ankit, keep it up. I have skipped tagging a few times, when I'd be in a hurry, but for the ones that have been adequately tagged.

That tends to be a rather interesting failing for some people. Of course, there are times when I do start discussions, there are times where I hit the wrong button and skip. So frustrating but when you really get into the moment, sometimes it happens. Of course, you can go back and add the tags if you haven't already, but still a minor annoyance. Some people don't even do that. I guess they don't understand the importance of adding tags right to the post. Or anything like that. Who really knows at this point. Then again, it does take some time for some people to rather find where they stand right with this website. Tagging does help for sure, but obviously that is not something that some have figured out.

And hence, the motive of this discussion. For some people, the discussion doesnt make any sense altogether, so they don't consider adding tags.

yes, I agree with you. I always put tag on my discussions and responses so that it is easy to search. It is a great help to minimize duplicating similar discussions. I hope everybody will practice to put tag on their discussions especially to the newbies.

Even if you aren't duplicating a discussion, you can at least find related discussions and you may get your answers there. This has happened to me so many times.

Well, I am sure there are discussions that even I as someone who has been around here for a long time now has forgotten to Tag from time to time, and sure this will make a difference, but it is something that is easy to forget.

i do not put tags.. but my friend, we do not get paid for the responses we get. We get paid for the responses we give. tags only help when you want to search for discussions... and how they categorize it.

Hi there... I always tag on my discussion or respond but last time when i started a discussion on traditional bulbul fighting, unfortunately father hit the post button and it was posted without tag. later i added tags. Have a nice time.

Good thing that you added tags. Even if you skip the 'add tags' button the first time, you can come back and add them later on.

The more responses has nothing to do with the earning if you do not response back to those responses. It doesn't mean that, discussion having more responses is earning bigger than the topic with less responses. You will only get paid once you response back to all those responses.

Hi there boyuancy.. Well I always make it a point to use tags on my discussions to be able to receive many response on it.I didn't know that you can submit discussions without putting a tag on them coz the last time I tried it I received an error so I thought that putting tag is mandatory..But I guess putting tags into one's discussion can benefit not only the poster but also the responder. So from now on I'll really make it a habit to put tags.

Good going jordq, and you are absolutely right. I can go a long way in making good discussions. I always tag the response with at least 1 appropriate tag.
