You and me have the same dream. I am also raring to go to Japan and experience their historic and modern places, as well as their foods and cultures. Not sure when I started to get fascinated with Japan but what I do know is that I greatly enjoy watching documentaries about that country. I usually watch Japan Home Video that is shown in a local channel. They feature short but very informative things about Japan, its place and its people. I also tried learning Nihonggo but unfortunately, I was not able to finish it due to a conflict with my schedule at work. Hopefully someday I can be at Nippon :)

The Nihonngo class was sponsored by TESDA and I was only able to attend 6 days out of the required 30 days to complete it. The class starts at 8PM and lasts for an hour and a half and my schedule then at work is 10PM. You can just imagine the rush that I have to do just to make it at work on time. Not sure if you have a clear picture of the distance but the class is from Guadalupe and my work is in Paseo de Rojas, both in Makati. You should visit the website Livemocha to enhance your Nihonngo more :)

But Japan recently had an earthquake killing hundreds of people and the whole city were torn down. Aren't you afraid of that? I also know many parts of Japan are worth visiting. I'd love to actually if my money allows.

I am sure with enough money we can at least visit japan... well, still praying there will be discounts for travelling in japan... I like to work in japan, I am kinda bit jealous at my friend who will be studying in Japan for a masteral degree. I also wanted to take my masteral degree, but I don't have much money yet and my sisters are going to be in College soon, so I have to at least support my parents in their tuition, the good thing is though they also dream living in Japan that is why they took a course that takes them to their dream job in japan..
Yah.. good luck to us....

The reason why I like to go to Japan is to experience snow. Aside from the fact that by visiting Japan, it would entail or involve the discovery of their culture and traditions, I mean apart from what we have learned in school. Actual experience is much important and would be considered as one in a lifetime happening in our lives, worth to be treasured.
Some of my friends were able to visit Japan. And I know of some who are working there and some also are having plans to visit that place soon. As for me, although I also wanted to go there, but it would perhaps follow after I could visit Hongkong, Singapore and Thailand first.

I have been fortunate enough to go to Japan. It was also my dream travel when I was young. When I was still working in Asia, my company sent me to Tokyo for some design approvals. I had a guide who did not only toured me to the factories that I needed to visit, but also went out of his way to show me the Japanese culture.
It was a great trip!

Japan has many traditions and culture that are unique.
I want to go to Japan to experience taking a bath in their public bath house where age, color and race are not required. Another one is I want to meet a Japanese Geisha :) I also want to attend a Japanese wedding :) They say Japanese weddings are unique specially the clothes of the bride and groom..
Yes, the statue of HACHIKO.. The loyal dog in Japan has a large statue that is made of bronze, I also want to see that,,
Anyways, Japanese are good hearted people,, So, If ever I'll be given a chance to go Japan,. surely I'll grab that opportunity :)

I want to go to Japan, too. Actually, I am making plan to visit there this year.
Japan is a very clean contry with blue sky and waters. There are both modern and traditional things, although I only know the names of limited cities, such as Tokyo, Osaka, Kyoto, Nagoya, and Fukuoka. Most importantly, the people there seem very polite. I want to go there to feel the culture and meet some people if possible. I have been teaching myself Japanese for one and a half years or so, and I will have the chance of talking much there, because I value face-to-face chatting very much.
Thanks, hitsujichan16, for your wonderful question. Hope that you will fulfill your dream early and good luck.

I feel the same as you. I would like to go to Japan one day, is on top of my wish list, along with Russia and Australia. I know there are lots of other beautiful places in the world, but this three particular ones, has always cought my attention since I was a little boy. What I would like the most is to have the oportunity to go at a friendĀ“s house, and this way, get closer to their culture.
