Oh, yes, it's one of my favorite delicacies . I really like it and we used to have cake seller near our house that sold it. It's very nice. I think maybe you can try to visit a cake shop, it's actually easy to find, at least here

Happy Saturday adhyz82 :D
Yes I know Getuk, and ate that food when my boyfriend came to visit me last year...
It tastes so sweet and I'm not quite like it... I like salty food rather than sweets... I'm trying to avoiding sweets now to keep my health :D
My favorite traditional cake is Kue Cucur... I love it so much :D
cheers

of course, people from java bring it. you know, when people from java island follow a "transmigration" program to kalimantan, a few years ago ( i think a many years ago), they bring almost all traditional java to kalimantan, especially, food. it just a litle change here. anyway, you know about java mie (mie jawa)? it more popular in malaysia, not in java.

i know gethuk verry well, and i like that.
Gethuk is traditional food from Java, generally, gethuk made from cassava. Initially taste of gethuk is no taste or salty, or sweet palm sugar. But right now many variations taste of gethuk, such as durian flavor, vanilla, chocolate, mocca, and fruit flavors.
In addition, the materials to make Gethuk also not only from cassava, but now its been a lot of fruit is processed into Gethuk, such as bananas, aplle, pineapple, jackfruit, soursop, and much more.
my favourite Gethuk is "Gethuk Goreng" from Sokaraja-Banyumas, Central Java.

Knew it very well, Getuk hmm ...
remembering me to an old memory, when i was a kids my mom always give me Getuk that she bougt for me at traditional market. It is a traditional food as far as I know it is only exist in java.
Most well known getuk in my place is getuk lindri. And it more delicious if you consume it with shredded coconut. Getuk lindri come with various colour and taste most of them have unique javanese sugar taste.
Try it for yours anytime you visit jawa.

I've ever eaten Getuk. But it's not one of my favourite food.
