Haha, sometimes I feel this way about people trying (usually STRUGGLING) to make ends meet using online sites.... But I never say it out loud lol. I don't blog at all, unless you count the discussions I start here on MyLot (sometimes it feels like my discussions are blog entries although they are not!) I've found that it's hard to generate enough traffic ANYWHERE to make actual money on the web - especially if your blog is just a personal one (who would read that?) LOL. Just a thought!

Haha, nice attention grabber. Almost made me angry, but there are lots of people who blog for many different reasons. I think those who blog for money will only last for so long because they will eventually run out of ideas to write about or get writers block and not find their way out. I blog occasionally only when I feel the topic is right, when I first started it was for money just to try to make ends meet which lasted for a short period. But I found a way to make money online without blogging, now in my spare time I blog for the fun of it and to make a little extra income.

I really don't make much money with my blog so I would have to say that it is for fun. I wish that I could make more money, but I can't. I enjoy all the work that I do online and I think that it is nice to be able to do some work and make a little spending money.

I was about to get angry because of your subject, but then good thing that it was a way for garnering some response. I do have a blog one is for fun and the other one is for my personal thoughts. I'm not that confident to monetize my blog.

I have started blogging and writing on forums like these to improve my writing skills since I'm in university I have found that I have a bit of free time but not enough to get a full time or even a part-time job. I have a personal blog that I have monetized although I don't expect to earn too much from it. So far I think that posting here and on post loop have been my highest earning sites.
I have also started writing from helium but since I have just started their I don't think that I am eligable yet to earn. I don't expect to make a full time income but Im hoping to get together a bit of cash so that I can pay off my student loans as soon after I graduate as I can.

Personally the only place I would say that I Blog would be here, and that is only in the discussions that I start, or respond back too, because for me keeping a Blog for pay would be nice if I had the time to keep up with it. But since most of the time you have to have a Good audience and a lot of interesting things to write about it is not something I have really ever considered.

People blog fro various reasons. At first they creataed a blog for personal use like making their diary etc etc. I had a friend who started blogging for fun but finally became rich just from blogging. H said he could make around $1,000 a month or even more. I still can't beleive it. How did he do it?

i think we can classify three bloggers
1. the blogger can only write about their personal life and everything in their mind and they only make it as diary..they don`t care about money..
2. the middle bloggers, which need some money but still don`t know how use SEO technique..so they will make blogger as additional time and only get the additional income too
3. the blogger which dedicated their life, time for blogging..their income is really depends on their blogs..they concentrate and full time 24 hours 7 day in their blogs. and some of them is success for it

I don't recall exactly how I started with this blogging thing. But one sure I know of bloggers back then: they are smart, knowledgeable, and earn big by just sitting in front of their pc.
Until I started to blog in Friendster, yes you wouldn't believe that you could actually blog there right, but only seen on that sight, it was like a private blog for me, I store there all the information that I need to know, some how to fix anything related to trouble shooting in personal computer, I am a disaster users that my pc are always on repair shop before.
Not until it was closed and all my blogs along with my pictures are deleted, I then started to create blog on blogger.com it was a mixed of fun and little earning too, until to date I still love to blog, I always get excited to know that their stats are keep on doing good, although I am not getting enough money from it, and it can't really replace your daytime job, maybe not for now because I am just more than a year in blogging hoping for more years to really earn a decent from it

Actually i do blog once in a while, But i don't do it for the money. I just blog to say what i want to say. And i used it as my journal, because i have problem with my memory, i tend to forget things that happened to me or something. So i try to write them online so that i won't forget them. But if you're really a good writer and lots of imagination, then i think it's useful if you make a blog and make a profit for it.
