Baby coming home

What will/did your baby wear home from the hospital? Did you plan a special outfit?
Oh yes we had a special outfit for my daughter but when she was born she was small and could only wear premmie clothes so we went with something my mom bought us for our daughter I can't remember what outfit it was but I know it was cute on my little one.

We actually didn't have the outfits that my children were going to wear home from the hospital planned in advance because we didn't know what their sizes were going to be. So, after the kids were born, my husband went to the store and picked out an outfit for them.
For Kathryn, it was a little Christmas outfit in black and red because she was born three weeks before Christmas. For Paul it was a little blue sweatsuit that Kathryn actually picked out for her new little brother.

We had newborn clothes for my daughter but none of them fit her because she was so much smaller then what we had at home we had the first 3 months size picked out. So we had to have family go buy preemie clothes.

Both my kids wore home special outfits from the hospital. My son was so much bigger than expected... 9 lbs. 4 oz. and had so many rolls LOL!!!!! we didn't think he was going to fit into the outfit we brought but of course you know they lose weight before leaving which he dropped down to 8 lbs. 14 oz. and it looked so adorable and he even had matching shoes.
My daughter was tiny... 6 lbs. but we expected that but she fit into newborn stuff just fine!
Aww...this has brought back so many memories.

My daughter didn't lose weight after she was born she was only 4lbs 7oz so none of the clothes we had fit her at all we had to have family go buy her some preemie clothes for her to wear when we left the hospital but she was so cute in what we had her in.

Oh what beautiful clothes they have for babies and todlers these days, I was looking for a pressie for a friend the other week, it was funny as I love the colour purple I thought I would buy a little outfit in a light lilac colour, so i picked something out but I wasn't sure if mums put lilac on their baby boys, so I asked a young motther there and she said she wouldn't put purple on her baby boy so I went back and settled for blue..

Dark purple maybe but for baby boys blue black red green yellow white gray.

I did choose something special for my kids once we go home from hospital.
And those clothes/baby dress are still intact and kept in sealed as souvenir.
I have memorablia/ special things from my kids since they were small to give them nostalgic moment as they grow older.
Last week my daughter celebrated her 18th birthday and I show'd her,the dress she wore when she celebrated her first birthday.

I take photos or remember things from my daughter growing up over the years. I don't like keeping things like that cause it kind of takes up spaces. My daughter wore a nice little onense home but I don't remember which one unless look at the pictures we took that day. It wasn't the one I was going to have her emwear but that's okay we where just lucky to take her home early.
