I am a single mom of two who has recently found myself unemployed and I am looking into finding a way to make extra money at home... Daycare is too expensive to afford for a minimum wage job with two daughters both age 2 and under. I need to be able to afford the daycare with an extra income or be able to stay home with my girls and make money online... This site seems like a great idea but I'm not sure how to maximize my earnings. I can't get people to join the site so anything that has higher referral bonuses won't do me any good. Looking for any ideas that anyone might have or things you yourself have tried in the past that worked.

Hi, you can try oDesk.com I just browse the site earlier and found out that they got a good jobs out there, you just need to apply first and wait if the employer hire you. If you are good in programming and other application, oDesk is a good site for you. There are other work for non-skilled such as Data Entry, transferring to Excel spreadsheet, Virtual Assist & email handling.

there are several websites that allow you to earn money but earning money online is way to difficult it takes hours to complete surveys or posting discussions, so its very difficult for me to spend that much time in those sites, mylot is great source of earning you can use this to earn more but still you need to give time to earn money.

I wish there were sites where can I make money online at home. My husband is wheel chair bound because of a serious foot condition and I am taking care of him full-time. I have been looking for ways to make money online, but besides this site I have not been able to find anything at all. I make jewelry so I might look into selling some of my pieces. I am not sure how well Avon will go online. I know Avon can be hard to sell.

First of all, since you have two kids and you are single, and unemployed, you are eligible for money from the government. As far as I know, because of each of your kids you should get $500 per month.
Mylot definitely will not help you get the earning you are looking for. The entire thing depends on the algorithm and and referral bonuses. I agree with you that it can be hard to get many people to sign up. I started writing for other sites and now I run my own blog. To be honest, it took me time to see decent money flowing to me from this job. So I will definitely not recommend it to you. But yes, if you have at least a few minutes of free time do try to look into writing blog posts. It is more like an investment thing with 0 percent of risk. You lose nothing, but as your blog keeps growing with your posts it will generate income for you.
Have you ever looked into going for homemade product business? You can sell what you make online and even outside. I believe that a little bit of hard work on this matter will get you more money than what we writers make.

Thank you very much for your advice. As for making money on a blog how exactly would I go about doing that? I used to maintain a personal blog about my life experiences while I was in college and still have that blog but I never made any money off of it.

I know alot, but I also know that none of them pay as good as myLot does. I suggest you spend the time you were planning to spend on the other sites here and reply to some discussions or make your own, trust me you'll make much more. Unless you make a very good plan to get referrals, etc. then I don't think you'll make anything anytime soon. Even with a very well structured plan, you'll only start making money after months and after investing a considerable amount of money into the particular website you're trying to earn through.
You can make as much as $2 a day here if you're really dedicated and post some really good quality content. I never made that much in one day, but it is very plausible.
I've tried lots of money making websites before, and the legit ones were very, very cheap in paying it's members.
I'm sorry if this doesn't help you, but I'm just sharing my experience with you.
Best of luck earning online.

I didn't earn much either the first couple of days I was here. I have reached more than $10 in about 3 weeks of being active here.
As for a tutorial, I don't know about any, but I have started a new discussion called "reached minimum payout!". I posted my strategy of earning more here, and some of the senior members approved of my techniques. Check it out, I think it'll get you up and running here.
I'm still planning to get about $1 in one day sometime.
I found referring to be very difficult, not just to myLot but to most other money making websites since most people don't believe you could make anything out of them. I stopped trying to refer people to websites a long time ago. Anyways, you should keep trying. If I failed in referring people that doesn't mean everyone will.
On a last note, I think I should just say that earning a living online is really difficult and you shouldn't be counting on myLot to make you huge amounts money. You shouldn't even count on anything on the internet since it's a very difficult process and only the best of the best make good amounts of money on the internet.
Have a nice time myLotting, and welcome to myLot! I forgot to welcome you in my reply, sorry about that.

Thank you for the welcome. I actually made a whole 16 cents just yesterday which to me was shocking. I can't believe I made more in one day than I did in 3 entire sessions. I will check out your discussion and see if I can use those tips to help me out on this site. I am not intending on using anything internet based as sole means of income just looking for something to help lessen the burden of everyday expenses. Even if I could make like 50 dollars a month that helps lessen the amount I have to pay for daycare, or gas. Trust me I am looking for regular fulltime employment!!! Just having an extremely hard time finding anything.

Thank you for the advice. I guess it's just since I am so new to this I don't see being able to earn very much money. I'm only up to I believe like 15 cents as of right now and I've posted several different days. Is there some sort of a tutorial someplace to be able to learn how to use this site better and maximize your earnings here? I'd love to be able to refer people but no one ever seems to do that when I try it. I've tried even posting the open link on facebook and haven't gotten a single referral.

I agree Soniya.. This site is a great idea but the payouts for participation are so low it's hard to be able to advance and actually get a payout.

Hello there... I think, you should find a regular job. Online earning is just a support; it can't be the main source of your earnings. Please do not invest or pay any registration fee on any website, those sites which ask for upfront fees are scams. Take care of that...
I have tried to make money online, I wanted to get rich quickly. But be sure, it is no magic to make money online. It requires hard work and patience. The highest regular income that I know of, is $100. It is not sufficient, right?
Miss, I recommend you find a regular job and keep online earning as a supportive income. That is what all of us do... Take care...

Hi Mr. Pearl
I disagree with you in terms of not being able to make a serious income online.
While I don't currently make heaps of money I do make a fair income and it's growing over time.
I also have a few friends who make a very steady income from ebay and a few other MLM's that they operate purely online.
These opportunities that they have worked hard at allow them to be stay at home mom's as well as sole income earners.
I will say I agree with you about the get rich quick, That is a very hard thing to do. But with a good plan and time you can earn more than you think.
Good Luck.

If you want to earn money on the internet, then patience is one of the most important things that you can have. In addition to this, it's much better to earn small amounts from a number of websites rather than earning everything that you need from one website. One of the bad things about earning money online is that if the website chooses to close down, you will be stuck with no way to make any more for yourself. If you spread your work out over a number of websites, then at least you have some back up plans if everything should happen to go wrong for you for whatever reason in the future.

I think you can try paid surveys, as you are from US.
I have a list of paid surveys (120+ sites) that I got from another source. If you are interested in doing surveys, I can send it to you.

There are plenty ways.
Some people earn decent money by writing articles..
Some people earn decent money by programming..
Some people earn decent money by affiliate marketing..
Some people earn decent money by blogging..
And a lot more.
You just need to be more specific about what do you want to do and what can you do to earn money. After you know what you want, feel free to create another discussion and I believe people here would be happy to show you some ways, if any..

There are more scams than legit ones, hence it's important to read reviews first. wtmmo dot blogspot dot com has the most useful answers for your question.. check it out for a minute and you'll find some very good ways of earning good money from home every month..
sorry I could not post the list here as it's too long..

Don't expect to earn like a full blown income online, it's pretty hard to earn online. If you want to earn more compared to spare change, you can start selling some old stuff you don't want to use anymore online like ebay, ebay is pretty popular. If you owuld like to earn decently online, then there's odesk or freelancing but you need a skill and it gets kinda competitive there. There's also iwriter where they pay you to write articles, based on keywords and a set of instructions. The payment there is quite good. You can sign up for survey sites or start writing articles based on your own ideas on squidoo, hubpages, ehow and hubpages. You can review products or anything too at review stream. Just find the sites that fit your need the most.
