Writing letters to Soldiers

Okay so here is the thing. I want to write a letter to a soldier and develop a pen pal. I did some searching on Google to see where to begin and all i get is websites where people can send care packages. I am a mother of three so my money resources are very low but I do want to show my support by writing a letter. Another website wants me to write to 3 different people each week every week for 3 months the minimum. I also go to work and go to school so I do not want to commit to a program. Does anyone know where I can begin or does anyone write to a soldier?

there might be a site but i dont know what site, its good thing to have it for support too as it will boost their confidence while away from home, though since internet is already well known i guess they prefer chat than penpal coz in chat they can see them in person too.
