I'm losing my cellphone load!

Darn!!!!! I've lost money again! I just loaded 50 this afternoon and it's all gone!!! I only spent not more than 5 of it! It was gone when this 2346 sender sent me something and my phone alarmed me that I only had 2.75! I never even subscribed to it for anything! I searched for it in the internet and it seems that this 2346 has been branded as "load thief". It sends you quotes, MMS, MP3s, and it will eat away your load. To stop it you have to check first what services you are subscribed and only then you can stop it (send CHECK to 2346 and then STOP "service e.g. TOPMMS" to 2346). I'm hating my network service for this!

thats pretty much their "legal" way of stealing your load. networks come up with paid subscription services which are totally useless, but they don't tell us that we're already subscribed even before we're ever informed such crappy service existed. talk about corruption!

Yes! And we would only know it the moment they have already deducted from our load! It's really annoying!

yeah.. and that would be the case if you often check your load balance. i have some friends who are on prepaid and don't even check their load. we can only guess how much their losing with this stufff.

What's more annoying is when you check your balance through text, it costs P1. It used to be free.

Oooohhh, don't hate the service provider, hate the content provider (the one who administers 2346). They are the ones robbing you of your load, not the wireless provider. To completely unsubscribe to all content services, visit your local wireless center (at malls) and request them to unsubscribe it for you. Tip: be irritable. Ahaha! ;P Irate customers get more attention than level-headed ones. ;)

Yeah, customers that complain too much really get much attention, even from the other customers.

Agree. I work at a wireless network company and definitely, irate customers are top priority. :)

I object to anything like this, and believe that companies should not be allowed to send messages at all. As far as I'm concerned my phone is my own personal property and only calls and texts I get should be from people who know me. These companies which send unsolicited messages should be banned by law, and shut down. I know there are cases where people have requested things like ring tones for their phone which is legitimate, however that request should not be used as an excuse for charging for additional expensive subscriptions which is not legitimate.

These network providers sometimes are really taking advantage of their customers.

I think it's better if you report it with your service provider. I had gone through the same a few years back and they'd gladly return the load they supposedly "stole" if you could give them a proper information about the transaction. Further, try to advise them too to manually stop those transactions in the future. If you talk to them properly and politely, they'd gladly help you. Remember that these are "automation problems" and most are unintentional. Have a great MyLot experience ahead!

Hi laydee! I wanted to call customer service last night, but with a load of only 4.25, I could not make the call. The network won't allow me. I have to load again of at least 8 before I can make the call to CS.

How can that even happen? I thought it's supposed to be checked and stopped by your network operator? U have every right to call them and make a complaint about it. After all, numbers are released by the operator and those service messages do have some kind of link to them too It's just not fair to consumers like u. who has spent money in loading yet it's being eaten away by the operator again

I just called customer service and asked the representative to stop all of my subscriptions. She said I am no longer subscribed to any services and she told me to just wait for a confirmation within 24hours. I just really hope it solved my problem because I don't want to come into changing numbers.

I know the feeling. I told my friends I'd keep them up on local news. I typed in 40 titles from the newspaper. Windows had to close and I lost it all. My friends are on vacation. After that, I didn't feel like retyping it. Sometimes computers are a blessing and sometimes they're a curse.

That's why I hate pre-paid things like that or pay-as-you-go. It's not worth the time, effort or money. You end up spending more money then you planned on for a phone that you aren't using often enough to make it worth it. If you ask me, save yourself the trouble and don't waste the money. Find a local retailer. They often can call cs for you for free.

I don't have a choice but to opt for a prepaid. I don't want to subscribe for a postpaid because I don't like getting bills every month. And even if I'm on postpaid, that darn service would still reflect on my bill unless I stop it.

Hello there secretbear, Hi I think we have the same subscriber and it really sucks that they have this kind of crap in there network, but as long as you don't stop it it is legal for them to charge you the best suggestion would go to your nearest original globe retailer and fight with the owner to replace your load.

I don't think I can ask for a replacement of my load as it was not the load retailer's fault that 2346 is sending all these crap. I think it's the network's fault so I'm gonna call customer service later.

i too have had this problem in the past. i responded back the the message i had gotten and texted stop as a reply to them, i also called my cell phone provider and told them there was a mistake and i did not know what or where that stuff came from. they understood and took the charges off the bill and added more time to my phone. hope all works out for you, happy mylotting!

Thank you! I just wish I can stop it. I have texted STOP ALL to the number last night but until now, there's no notification from them that I'm not subscribed anymore to any of their services.

I don't think there's anything wrong with your phone. Try turning off any apps running in your phone, then load again.
