When Micheal Jordan eventually retired from the game of basketball, the NBA has been longing for someone to take his place. The younger generation of players came in and pretended to be more like "His Airness" but to no avail. We have seen the likes of Vince Carter with his high flying dunks, we saw Tracy Mcgrady in Orlando, Jerry Stackhouse of the Pistons and Grant Hill, Lebron James of Miami, though not even one of them can reach Jordan's level of competition and dominance. However, Micheal apparently chosen only one player comes close enough to his level and that is Kobe Bryant. Kobe after all this years, entering the NBA as a rookie has been mimicking Jordan's movements and skill sets. Jordan has seen from Bryant the dedication, hard work and motivation to excel even more despite loses, injuries and longevity. Jordan is a competitor and Kobe is an insane competitor too. That's why there is no mistake that Micheal Jordan likes to watch Kobe Bryant play, because he sees himself in Kobe. That's why His Airness choose him as his close comparison. What do you think?

A couple of years back when Micheal Jordan vacated his throne as the NBA's greatest player, several young and upcoming players tried to emulate his antics, moves and skills. Until now we can still see the legacy that Micheal Jordan left, more and more young players are trying their very best to be as dominant as "His Airness". But so far none had ever reach the pinnacle of what a dominant player can be. Lebron James, has the skills, talent but lacks the passion and level of competitiveness of Jordan. James has so much flair to his repertoire of skills but the intensity to compete and be challenged is absent. Pippen may have chosen James as the greatest player after Jordan but still Micheal selected Kobe Bryant to be his closest rival in terms of comparison, no doubt.
