If we can't handle the pace they can't handle spin... so what do we do?

Pakistan has bowled out England for 72. The target was a measly 145. Not so long ago Aus was all out for 47 and SA wa all out for 96.India was whipped 4-0 in Australia.
BCCI should prepare sporting wickets in India but at the same time should revive the art of slow bowling. Good spinners and good fast bowlers will win you matches anywhere.
India need not be demoralized by their miserable performance overseas, it seems no team is doing well overseas. Pakistan has a good bowling attack and is therefore winning.India should also have three pacers and two spinners. Our pacers do not know how to bowl on lively pitches and a stint with county cricket will help them a lot.
The sub continent has a wealth of talent and it is not beyond India to bounce back and claim the no 1 spot. the days of absolute domination are over. The sides with better bowlers will always win.

It is true that teams struggle when they are playing away matches. Subcontinent teams struggle against good quality pace bowling and those teams struggle against quality spin bowling.
But Australia and South Africa seem to manage spin a bit better. So it all comes down to how well one adopts to the different pitches and adjusts the technique required.
England is trying to correct their flaws against spin by sending players to subcontinent. Currently England Lions, a youth team of England is playing in Sri lanka. This kind of experience may help them to improve their play against spin.
Similarly subcontinent teams can send their players to play in fast pitches and gain experience.
These things cannot be changed soon but gradually this problem can be overcome.
