Try doing a search on your favourite search-engine for something totally random.
You really would and will be amazed just how many results will come back. No matter what you search for, someone has made a website or a blog etc about that subject.
Try picking a random page from the dictionary and a random word, I can bet someone has written and published something about it on the world wide web.
REALLY how sad is that.
The internet really can be such a sad place, especially with people who think publishing useless garbage about nothing in particular will be of interest and use to other people.
Give it a try, use myLot's search engine if you want.
Rant for the day over.
Have fun all mylotters.

Yes I have. That is the interesting thing about internet. Everybody can write on it what he/she wants. No matter if it is true or not. There was a time people (and school kids) thought everything on the internet is true. So if they need some info they just searched for it and take the first info they find. Never checking if it's right. Many teacher find this very annoying.
It's also a miracle to me how people (even so many adults) still think every piece of info you read is the true and never check it somewhere else.

I agree the internet is full of garbage but let's not forget that the internet is and will always be in my opinion a great resource to get any kind of information you could ever think of and more. Just do your research

Hi haddowz,
Your exactly correct, most of the owners of the blog or site build their web pages with waste of things. In order to increase the traffic in their site they randomly gives all words inside their pages to caught by the search engine. I f you goto those pages expecting more information about our key words, we will get disappointed because that only word will be hanging out some were in their page without any meaning.
While doing project work, I faced lots of stuffs like this, its really bad to see such cheap approach of blog or site owners to increase their traffic in their site.

There is a lot of rubbish on the internet, but the good thing is that the internet is so vast that you can easily just ignore the things that you don't like. You do have to be careful when you're looking for information though, as there are some websites that you can get information from which have not been edited from people who actually know what they're talking about. Anyone can put a web page on the internet, and you just have to make sure that you find information that is right and suitable for you.

Hi haddowz: Oh you are so right. The Internet is full of rubbish. You can find almost anything on the internet but at the same time people use the space of useless pages and the funny part is when they actually gain page views for talking about things with no sense or for trying to be cool and not couldn't do this.

There is alot of content to make people laugh but not enough content to make people more wise and critical in every day situations. I beleive we have the right to have fu but we don't have th right to keep criticizing subjects we know nothing or little about.

I have noticed this also. For this reason, I don't do a lot of searches. I just don't have the patience to read all the links that come up. I have learned that a lot of it isn't true anyway, so why bother?

This is funny. I typed in the dictionary flaccid then searched the web. I then found the word in the urbandictionary website. From one of the definitions for the word flaccid I know now how to soften when I have a stiffy. lol

Hi! Indeed. It makes the world of internet not healthy to give time with. It may even corrupt the minds of every person who keeps on looking those rubbish things and most importantly it might influence children who are into surfing the net. Lets be careful on what we search fro or what we see in the net. It will either help us or not.

The internet is the gateway to everything. Rubbish or useful, they're all out there. We are connected to the world. And there are some weird people out there So probably they'll also put some weird things on the internet. LOL. But you see, internet is still very useful thing ever invented on planet earth.

Hi, HADDOWZ.
I guess some of the garbage you mentioned is commercial related. I work for a company of search engine, and know something of the implanted and embedded CM. I think there are not many people surfing on the Internet merely for CM. However, it is CM that plays most of the role of earning profits for a search engine company. Otherwise, no free search would be offered.
As to the meaningless thins, I think every one has his own rights to express himself, as long as his words are legal and won't hurt others. We may ignore them the same way they are published, right?
Have a good day.
