Couponing....and doing well....

Ok, so I have made a few discussions regarding my new hobby...couponing. As an update, I have to say I am doing well with them....I never go into a store now without a coupon ready to be used....therefore I have been saving every time I go shopping. This has been great. I have even started a very small stockpile....ok, very little but on somethings like dish soap I am now 4 months ahead, and shampoo I have enough for the next couple months for sure. I have a small selection of snacks for my kids so in case we get snowed in I will have things to offer them. Now, my one issue I am finding is that my coupon clutch is way to small for my coupons...it is small and doesnt have enough sections to organize my coupons....so it takes me a bit when I go through my sales ads to get all my coupons together. I am on a mission to find a way to organize my coupons and get a bigger coupon holder. What do you use to hold your coupons? Are you able to take all your coupons with you when you go shopping in case you need to pick up things that you hadnt anticipated? Do you have any suggestions of what to use for a coupon clutch?

That is definitely why I went with the notebook binder. I have alphabetized dividers and plastic sheets that normally hold nine sports cards each. I got the plastic sheets from a collector's hobby shop. That way if you need more capacity, you add more sheets. You can also get a bigger binder if necessary and your coupons will still be contained in one location.

I am thinking I am going to have to go that route...especially after all the coupons I clipped today. LOL Do you think it is easier to organize the coupons by alphabet or by type of food? thanks for the response and have a great night! :)

I personally like to organize by type of food.

I have an area in my purse where I stash them....but a friend of mine got an awesome one at the dollar store. We went shopping for stamping supplies and she has everything she needed in there....she cut a design from all her punches etc so she knew exactly what she has at home....I went out to buy one and they were gone....hopefully they will get more in....it was expandable.

I am going to have to come up with a solution, I try to just take my coupons that I am going to use but a couple times I have come across something that was on sale and I could have used my coupon with it... so I truly need find a way to take more of my coupons with me. I am going to go out looking this week to see if I can find something, a lot of couponers use binders, now I can see why. LOL thanks for the response and have a great night! :)

I have found it is just as easy for me to put them in separate envelopes. I do it for the store I shop at the most, but even when I go somewhere else, I find them fairly easy. I do it for 2 to 3 rows per envelope. I take an empty envelope with me to put my coupons that I am using in until I get to the register. I know alot of people use the baseball card notebooks, but that is too big for the amount I have.

i have mine in a drawer at home. i dont use them all that often just because often the store brand is cheaper than the name brand even with the cents off coupon. Here in Canada, we cant use coupons the extent that you do in the US (sadly). what about those binders with all the pockets?
