I was listening to a song on you tube just now and in the comment section it seemed very other person was saying that this son reminded them of someone . I thought this must be common place so I dug inside my memory and couldn't find a single song that reminded me of someone whether in a good sense or bad.
[i]MAYBE YOU WILL HAVE BETTER LUCK . DIG DEEP INSIDE YOUSELVES NOW AND TELL US WHAT THE SONG IS AND WHO THE PERSON IS? ,IF IT ISNT TOO EMOTIONAL FOR YOU

song is created from our own personal experiences and most people shared the same experience though in different approach, so of course we all can remind our self in the song specially if its a love song or a lonely song so i also dont wonder why theres a song like that coz it only reminds me that im not the only person whose having the same delemna in life. i just rather sing with it than remind someone with it.

Yeah. There are really some songs which reminds me of some people I know. Whenever I hear the songs being played on the radio, I instantly recall a certain memory of that person.

Actually, I can think of a lot of songs that remind me of people that I've known throughout out my life. I will actually tell you three of them that I can think of right off the top of my head.
The first is Don't Speak by No Doubt and this one reminds me of a friend of mine through high school that was my best friend during those years.
The second is Jumper by Third Eye Blind and this song reminds me of my friend Paul from college that killed himself during our freshman year. I only wish that he would have reached out to us when he was hurting so bad.
The third one is Follow Me by Uncle Kracker and it reminds me of my ex-boyfriend because I honestly think that he would take me there if I'd let him.

Definitely true! I have always associated people with certain songs. And that is the very reason why I end of sobbing when I hear the songs that I have linked to certain important people in my life.

Yes, I have several songs that make me think of people. Some of the songs simply remind me of the person because of something funny or sad that happened when we heard the song together. However, others remind me of someone because of the words in the song. Cline Dion's Because You Loved Me reminds me of my cousin because he and his wife had a friend sing it at their wedding. Reba McEntire's I'll Be reminds me of my other cousin because I know I can turn to her whenever I need someone to talk to.

Once while listening to a song by peter tosh i heard the lyric "let the rebel in me find the rebel in you". Im not sure what the name of the song is. For some reason it made me examine my sons personality. It made me see that he is a rebel just like me. I felt so bonded to him after hearing the words to that song. It was like coming to know that we are so much alike.

There are so many songs that remind me of the persons that really close to me, specially when the song is related to the things that we do when we are together and if the song is saying something that my love one also have. Listening in this kind of music make me feel missing them so much and sometimes it also remind me of my past. Music is really powerful when in comes in emotion.

I can relate to this discussion. I have a lot of songs that reminds me of different people and event in my life. When I hear those songs, I really pause and reminisce those event and people with that time. It's so nice to remember those days. I liked it.

Sure, I think sometimes they remind me of an event in my life shared by a person in my life. There are certain songs that always remind me of my husband. There are certain songs that remind of X boyfriends. There are also songs that remind me of the friends I used to hang out with when I was a teen and even a child. The songs can take me back in time and I can actually remember what I was doing at one particular time when that song was playing. For instance 1999 by Prince. I remember I was in my car driving with my friends and that song came on. We pulled the car in to a parking lot, I cranked up the stereo and we all got out of the car and started dancing. I also have a song with my best friend. We used to go dancing at this one place all the time and no matter where we were at that bar when that song came on we had to find each other and make sure we did that we danced that song together we had specific moves for specific parts and everything. Those are the moments in life that are special and that you never forget and music was a part of those.

Our theme song of my ex was falling in love. hehe.
While I was away from home, i tried to listen on the radio because my colleagues told me that I should try listening to an fm station becuase of their good music. what on earth, the moment that I tune in to the fm station (i used my cellphone while listening the music), the first song that i heard was our theme song.
Our broke up happen just a few weeks ago before that incident. yeah, did i cry or did i cry? hahaha. . Maybe the fate played a joke on me. hahaha. i cried a lot, like a baby. so much for my first love ; )
havent totally moved on yet, though a year already passed by. hehe, someone, helllpppp

Hi! There are a lot of songs that remind me of someone. Although sometimes I may forget it but when I hear the song, it will remind me of them and the memories we had. Just like the song of Kelly Clarkson "breakaways" . It reminds me of my high school classmates. I guess there are a lot more that are stuck in my brain.;))

Wow, yes there are many songs that remind me of people. The one that first comes to mind is the Eagles "Best of My Love". This song always reminds me of my ex, but they are usually happy memories. When we decided to go our seperate ways, we had one last dance and it just so happened that was the song. It still takes me back when I listen to it.

For me the song that reminds me of someone is The Run Around by Blues Traveler. Every time I hear the song it reminds me of a past ex and I think about how much happier I am now that I am no longer with them.
