Met an old friend yesterday...

hi there! Oh wow that's good, Social sites also have some positive impact just like what happened to you. Also with facebook, I found some of my long lost friends. I was so excited to hear about their stories, or what happened to them, we lost contact after graduating from highschool. Some got married, some are still studying, and some went to abroad for work. It feels good to talk or to see them again. But, some people change. They don't treat you the way they treated you before. That's the sad part. After the long separation, They were able to change and not really give importance to your friendship.

I have met a lot of old friends in Facebook, people I haven't seen for decades. Social networking has really made communication possible and this includes the renewal of friendships more so for those that are in other countries. However, I have not been to much chatting because of the demands of the online jobs. It's fun though when after all the years you suddenly find someone whom you have missed.

hi sjvg I met my childhood best friend on email about four years aso as her daughter found my email addy from my son who also has a Facebook account. we have been carrying on a long distance email now daily and its just so much fun too.we are both 85 and still doing well and happy to have found each other.she is in South D akota and I am in California, Garden Grove.I came here from Arizona and originally I came to Arizona from South Dakota. I was born and raised in South Dakota and left when I was thirty for Arizons where I met my hubby to be.

I am happy to hear that you got in touch with an old friend on Facebook. It is a great feeling to talk to an old friend again after a long time. Some weeks ago I started looking for some of my old friends on Facebook, and I managed to find some of them. I really enjoyed talking to them again. One of the old friends that I found was my old neighbour from the time the time when I lived in the north of Denmark. We used to be very close friends who were together almost every day, but when we both moved away from the north of Denmark we lost touch. It was a lot of fun to talk to her again on Fscebook and hear what had happened in her life since our last meeting.

I just met my friend after 4 years not seeing each at her wedding last week. Once we graduated, we only talked on the phone a couple of time and never met face to face. She's staying in a different state and both of been busy working. So when she invited me to her wedding, I saw that as a good opportunity to catch up after so long. She haven't changed much and we couldn't sit to talk a lot as she still need to entertain other guests. But it's good to see her again.

Hi brother! I have to admit even if I don't like facebook so much but it is so convenient to search and find my school and my old friends. It all started a few years ago as one of my friend take an alternatives to find our ex-classmate in elementary schools. It was so good to see them all grown up and some of them have get married and even have kids. That is the only reason why I have an account in facebook. To keep my old friends contacts. (^^)

hello sj, It feels so good. I met my old friends since we're 6 yrs old thru facebook. Now we have a group in facebook (our batch) where we can communicate and update our friends about our life/event and invite for met-ups as well.

Hi! Yes I have also experienced this. Its amazing how technology has evolved to be able to connect people. Facebook is good but not too much.

Woooooo congrats you met with your old friend. Really when our old friend is stand infront of us we feel happy. Sometime if our best friend is meet me then I feel I got a gold coin ahahha...just joking.

these social networking sites are playing a vital role in the connecting the people. and we know that facebook is the most used sites by the people these days. like you on different occassion i also came meet the friends of mine, of school, of collage and of childhood as well.

It will really be an immense feelings to meet an old friend. i have not met someone yet as i am not so interested on facebook but i have an account. And again, i have very less friends and thats why less chance to meet someone one day such way. have a nice time.
