On my mac it use to spellcheck and let me correct what ever I write.

My mac use to spellcheck what ever I wrote. Then it would allow me to correct it. Now it just spellchecks and tells me what I spell wrong but wont show me the correct spellings anymore.

I have a mac. I would suggest rebooting you computer and seeing if that helps. If not, I would take it to the genius bar at an Apple Store. That is if you have one close by.
